رَبَّنَآ

Our Lord

rabbanā

ءَامَنَّا

we believe[d]

āmannā

بِمَآ

in what

bimā

أَنزَلْتَ

You revealed

anzalta

وَٱتَّبَعْنَا

and we follow[ed]

wa-ittabaʿnā

ٱلرَّسُولَ

the Messenger

l-rasūla

فَٱكْتُبْنَا

then write us

fa-uk'tub'nā

مَعَ

among

maʿa

ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ

the witnesses

l-shāhidīna

٥٣

Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger [i.e., Jesus], so register us among the witnesses [to truth]."

— Saheeh International

وَمَكَرُوا۟

And they schemed

wamakarū

وَمَكَرَ

and planned

wamakara

ٱللَّهُ ۖ

Allah

l-lahu

وَٱللَّهُ

And Allah

wal-lahu

خَيْرُ

(is the) best

khayru

ٱلْمَـٰكِرِينَ

(of) the planners

l-mākirīna

٥٤

And they [i.e., the disbelievers] planned, but Allāh planned. And Allāh is the best of planners.

— Saheeh International

إِذْ

When

idh

قَالَ

said

qāla

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

l-lahu

يَـٰعِيسَىٰٓ

O Isa

yāʿīsā

إِنِّى

Indeed, I

innī

مُتَوَفِّيكَ

(will) take you

mutawaffīka

وَرَافِعُكَ

and raise you

warāfiʿuka

إِلَىَّ

to Myself

ilayya

وَمُطَهِّرُكَ

and purify you

wamuṭahhiruka

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieve[d]

kafarū

وَجَاعِلُ

and I will make

wajāʿilu

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

ٱتَّبَعُوكَ

follow[ed] you

ittabaʿūka

فَوْقَ

superior

fawqa

ٱلَّذِينَ

(to) those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوٓا۟

disbelieve[d]

kafarū

إِلَىٰ

on

ilā

يَوْمِ

(the) Day

yawmi

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۖ

(of) [the] Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

إِلَىَّ

to Me

ilayya

مَرْجِعُكُمْ

(is) your return

marjiʿukum

فَأَحْكُمُ

and I will judge

fa-aḥkumu

بَيْنَكُمْ

between you

baynakum

فِيمَا

about what

fīmā

كُنتُمْ

you were

kuntum

فِيهِ

[in it]

fīhi

تَخْتَلِفُونَ

differing

takhtalifūna

٥٥

[Mention] when Allāh said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify [i.e., free] you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allāh alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

— Saheeh International

فَأَمَّا

Then as for

fa-ammā

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieve[d]

kafarū

فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ

then I will punish them

fa-uʿadhibuhum

عَذَابًۭا

(with) a punishment

ʿadhāban

شَدِيدًۭا

severe

shadīdan

فِى

in

ٱلدُّنْيَا

the world

l-dun'yā

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

and (in) the Hereafter

wal-ākhirati

وَمَا

And not

wamā

لَهُم

for them

lahum

مِّن

any

min

نَّـٰصِرِينَ

helpers

nāṣirīna

٥٦

And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."

— Saheeh International

وَأَمَّا

And as for

wa-ammā

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe[d]

āmanū

وَعَمِلُوا۟

and did

waʿamilū

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

[the] righteous deeds

l-ṣāliḥāti

فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ

then He will grant them in full

fayuwaffīhim

أُجُورَهُمْ ۗ

their reward

ujūrahum

وَٱللَّهُ

And Allah

wal-lahu

لَا

(does) not

يُحِبُّ

love

yuḥibbu

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

٥٧

But as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards, and Allāh does not like the wrongdoers.

— Saheeh International

ذَٰلِكَ

That

dhālika

نَتْلُوهُ

(is what) We recite [it]

natlūhu

عَلَيْكَ

to you

ʿalayka

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ

the Verses

l-āyāti

وَٱلذِّكْرِ

and the Reminder

wal-dhik'ri

ٱلْحَكِيمِ

[the] Wise

l-ḥakīmi

٥٨

This is what We recite to you, [O Muḥammad], of [Our] verses and the precise [and wise] message [i.e., the Qur’ān].

— Saheeh International

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

مَثَلَ

(the) likeness

mathala

عِيسَىٰ

(of) Isa

ʿīsā

عِندَ

near

ʿinda

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

كَمَثَلِ

(is) like (the) likeness

kamathali

ءَادَمَ ۖ

(of) Adam

ādama

خَلَقَهُۥ

He created him

khalaqahu

مِن

from

min

تُرَابٍۢ

dust

turābin

ثُمَّ

then

thumma

قَالَ

He said

qāla

لَهُۥ

to him

lahu

كُن

Be

kun

فَيَكُونُ

and he was

fayakūnu

٥٩

Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allāh1 is like that of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.

— Saheeh International

ٱلْحَقُّ

The truth

al-ḥaqu

مِن

(is) from

min

رَّبِّكَ

your Lord

rabbika

فَلَا

so (do) not

falā

تَكُن

be

takun

مِّنَ

among

mina

ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ

the doubters

l-mum'tarīna

٦٠

The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.

— Saheeh International

فَمَنْ

Then whoever

faman

حَآجَّكَ

argues (with) you

ḥājjaka

فِيهِ

concerning it

fīhi

مِنۢ

from

min

بَعْدِ

after

baʿdi

مَا

what

جَآءَكَ

came to you

jāaka

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْعِلْمِ

the knowledge

l-ʿil'mi

فَقُلْ

then say

faqul

تَعَالَوْا۟

Come

taʿālaw

نَدْعُ

let us call

nadʿu

أَبْنَآءَنَا

our sons

abnāanā

وَأَبْنَآءَكُمْ

and your sons

wa-abnāakum

وَنِسَآءَنَا

and our women

wanisāanā

وَنِسَآءَكُمْ

and your women

wanisāakum

وَأَنفُسَنَا

and ourselves

wa-anfusanā

وَأَنفُسَكُمْ

and yourselves

wa-anfusakum

ثُمَّ

then

thumma

نَبْتَهِلْ

let us pray humbly

nabtahil

فَنَجْعَل

and [we] invoke

fanajʿal

لَّعْنَتَ

the curse

laʿnata

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

عَلَى

on

ʿalā

ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ

the liars

l-kādhibīna

٦١

Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you - say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allāh upon the liars [among us]."

— Saheeh International
