Al-Bayyinah
The Clear Proof

البينة
لَمْ Not lam were yakuni those who alladhīna disbelieved kafarū from min (the) People ahli of the Book l-kitābi and the polytheists wal-mush'rikīna to be abandoned munfakkīna until ḥattā (there) comes to them tatiyahumu the clear evidence l-bayinatu
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief]1 until there came to them clear evidence
رَسُولٌۭ A Messenger rasūlun from mina Allah l-lahi reciting yatlū pages ṣuḥufan purified muṭahharatan
A Messenger from Allāh, reciting purified1 scriptures
فِيهَا Wherein fīhā (are) writings kutubun correct qayyimatun
Within which are correct writings [i.e., rulings and laws].
وَمَا And not wamā became divided tafarraqa those who alladhīna were given ūtū the Book l-kitāba until illā from min after baʿdi what mā came (to) them jāathumu (of) the clear evidence l-bayinatu
Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided1 until after there had come to them clear evidence.
وَمَآ And not wamā they were commanded umirū except illā to worship liyaʿbudū Allah l-laha (being) sincere mukh'liṣīna to Him lahu (in) the religion l-dīna upright ḥunafāa and to establish wayuqīmū the prayer l-ṣalata and to give wayu'tū the zakah l-zakata And that wadhālika (is the) religion dīnu the correct l-qayimati
And they were not commanded except to worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakāh. And that is the correct religion.
إِنَّ Indeed inna those who alladhīna disbelieve kafarū from min (the) People ahli (of) the Book l-kitābi and the polytheists wal-mush'rikīna (will be) in fī (the) Fire nāri (of) Hell jahannama abiding eternally khālidīna therein fīhā Those ulāika they hum (are the) worst sharru (of) the creatures l-bariyati
Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.
إِنَّ Indeed inna those who alladhīna believe āmanū and do waʿamilū righteous deeds l-ṣāliḥāti those ulāika they hum (are the) best khayru (of) the creatures l-bariyati
Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures.
جَزَآؤُهُمْ Their reward jazāuhum (is) with ʿinda their Lord rabbihim Gardens jannātu (of) Eternity ʿadnin flow tajrī from min underneath them taḥtihā the rivers l-anhāru will abide khālidīna therein fīhā forever abadan (will be) pleased raḍiya Allah l-lahu with them ʿanhum and they (will be) pleased waraḍū with Him ʿanhu That dhālika (is) for whoever liman feared khashiya his Lord rabbahu
Their reward with their Lord will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allāh being pleased with them and they with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord.
