يَوْمَ (On the) day yawma will find tajidu every kullu soul nafsin what mā it did ʿamilat of min good khayrin presented muḥ'ḍaran and what wamā it did ʿamilat of min evil sūin it will wish tawaddu [if] law that anna between itself baynahā and between it (evil) wabaynahu (was) a distance amadan great baʿīdan And warns you wayuḥadhirukumu Allah l-lahu (against) Himself nafsahu and Allah wal-lahu (is) Most Kind raūfun to (His) [the] slaves bil-ʿibādi
The Day every soul will find what it has done of good present [before it] and what it has done of evil, it will wish that between itself and that [evil] was a great distance. And Allāh warns you of Himself, and Allāh is Kind to [His] servants."
قُلْ Say qul If in you kuntum love tuḥibbūna Allah l-laha then follow me fa-ittabiʿūnī will love you yuḥ'bib'kumu Allah l-lahu and He will forgive wayaghfir for you lakum your sins dhunūbakum And Allah wal-lahu (is) Oft-Forgiving ghafūrun Most Merciful raḥīmun
Say, [O Muḥammad], "If you should love Allāh, then follow me, [so] Allāh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful."
قُلْ Say qul Obey aṭīʿū Allah l-laha and the Messenger wal-rasūla Then if fa-in they turn away tawallaw then indeed fa-inna Allah l-laha (does) not lā love yuḥibbu the disbelievers l-kāfirīna
Say, "Obey Allāh and the Messenger. But if you turn away - then indeed, Allāh does not like the disbelievers."
۞ إِنَّ Indeed inna Allah l-laha chose iṣ'ṭafā Adam ādama and Nuh wanūḥan and (the) family waāla (of) Ibrahim ib'rāhīma and (the) family waāla (of) Imran ʿim'rāna over ʿalā the worlds l-ʿālamīna
Indeed, Allāh chose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of ʿImrān over the worlds -
ذُرِّيَّةًۢ Descendents dhurriyyatan some of them baʿḍuhā from min others baʿḍin And Allah wal-lahu (is) All-Hearing samīʿun All-Knowing ʿalīmun
Descendants, some of them from others. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.
إِذْ When idh [she] said qālati (the) wife im'ra-atu (of) Imran ʿim'rāna My Lord rabbi Indeed, I innī [I] vowed nadhartu to You laka what mā (is) in fī my womb baṭnī dedicated muḥarraran so accept fataqabbal from me minnī Indeed, You innaka You anta (are) the All-Hearing l-samīʿu the All-Knowing l-ʿalīmu
[Mention, O Muḥammad], when the wife of ʿImrān said, "My Lord, indeed I have pledged to You what is in my womb, consecrated [for Your service], so accept this from me. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing."
فَلَمَّا Then when falammā she delivered her waḍaʿathā she said qālat My Lord rabbi indeed I innī [I] (have) delivered [her] waḍaʿtuhā a female unthā And Allah wal-lahu knows better aʿlamu [of] what bimā she delivered waḍaʿat and is not walaysa the male l-dhakaru like the female kal-unthā And that I wa-innī [I] (have) named her sammaytuhā Maryam maryama and that I wa-innī [I] seek refuge for her uʿīdhuhā in You bika and her offspring wadhurriyyatahā from mina the Shaitaan l-shayṭāni the rejected l-rajīmi
But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allāh was most knowing of what she delivered, and the male is not like the female. "And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allāh]."
فَتَقَبَّلَهَا So accepted her fataqabbalahā her Lord rabbuhā with acceptance biqabūlin good ḥasanin and reared her wa-anbatahā a rearing nabātan good ḥasanan and put her in (the) care wakaffalahā (of) Zakariya zakariyyā Whenever kullamā entered dakhala upon her ʿalayhā Zakariya zakariyyā [the] prayer chamber l-miḥ'rāba he found wajada with her ʿindahā provision riz'qan He said qāla O Maryam yāmaryamu From where annā for you laki (is) this hādhā She said qālat This huwa (is) min from ʿindi Allah l-lahi Indeed inna Allah l-laha gives provision yarzuqu (to) whom man He wills yashāu without bighayri measure ḥisābin
So her Lord accepted her with good acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner and put her in the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. He said, "O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?" She said, "It is from Allāh. Indeed, Allāh provides for whom He wills without account."
