يَطُوفُ

Will circulate

yaṭūfu

عَلَيْهِمْ

among them

ʿalayhim

وِلْدَٰنٌۭ

boys

wil'dānun

مُّخَلَّدُونَ

immortal

mukhalladūna

١٧

There will circulate among them young boys made eternal.

— Saheeh International

بِأَكْوَابٍۢ

With vessels

bi-akwābin

وَأَبَارِيقَ

and jugs

wa-abārīqa

وَكَأْسٍۢ

and a cup

wakasin

مِّن

from

min

مَّعِينٍۢ

a flowing stream

maʿīnin

١٨

With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring -

— Saheeh International

لَّا

Not

يُصَدَّعُونَ

they will get headache

yuṣaddaʿūna

عَنْهَا

therefrom

ʿanhā

وَلَا

and not

walā

يُنزِفُونَ

they will get intoxicated

yunzifūna

١٩

No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -

— Saheeh International

وَفَـٰكِهَةٍۢ

And fruits

wafākihatin

مِّمَّا

of what

mimmā

يَتَخَيَّرُونَ

they select

yatakhayyarūna

٢٠

And fruit of what they select

— Saheeh International

وَلَحْمِ

And (the) flesh

walaḥmi

طَيْرٍۢ

(of) fowls

ṭayrin

مِّمَّا

of what

mimmā

يَشْتَهُونَ

they desire

yashtahūna

٢١

And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.

— Saheeh International

وَحُورٌ

And fair ones

waḥūrun

عِينٌۭ

(with) large eyes

ʿīnun

٢٢

And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,

— Saheeh International

كَأَمْثَـٰلِ

Like

ka-amthāli

ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ

pearls

l-lu'lu-i

ٱلْمَكْنُونِ

well-protected

l-maknūni

٢٣

The likenesses of pearls well-protected,

— Saheeh International

جَزَآءًۢ

A reward

jazāan

بِمَا

for what

bimā

كَانُوا۟

they used (to)

kānū

يَعْمَلُونَ

do

yaʿmalūna

٢٤

As reward for what they used to do.

— Saheeh International

لَا

Not

يَسْمَعُونَ

they will hear

yasmaʿūna

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

لَغْوًۭا

vain talk

laghwan

وَلَا

and not

walā

تَأْثِيمًا

sinful (speech)

tathīman

٢٥

They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin -

— Saheeh International

إِلَّا

Except

illā

قِيلًۭا

a saying

qīlan

سَلَـٰمًۭا

Peace

salāman

سَلَـٰمًۭا

Peace

salāman

٢٦

Only a saying [of] peace, peace.

— Saheeh International

وَأَصْحَـٰبُ

And (the) companions

wa-aṣḥābu

ٱلْيَمِينِ

(of) the right

l-yamīni

مَآ

what

أَصْحَـٰبُ

(are the) companions

aṣḥābu

ٱلْيَمِينِ

(of) the right

l-yamīni

٢٧

The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

— Saheeh International

فِى

Among

سِدْرٍۢ

lote trees

sid'rin

مَّخْضُودٍۢ

thornless

makhḍūdin

٢٨

[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed.

— Saheeh International

وَطَلْحٍۢ

And banana trees

waṭalḥin

مَّنضُودٍۢ

layered

manḍūdin

٢٩

And [banana] trees layered [with fruit].

— Saheeh International

وَظِلٍّۢ

And shade

waẓillin

مَّمْدُودٍۢ

extended

mamdūdin

٣٠

And shade extended.

— Saheeh International

وَمَآءٍۢ

And water

wamāin

مَّسْكُوبٍۢ

poured forth

maskūbin

٣١

And water poured out

— Saheeh International

وَفَـٰكِهَةٍۢ

And fruit

wafākihatin

كَثِيرَةٍۢ

abundant

kathīratin

٣٢

And fruit, abundant [and varied],

— Saheeh International

لَّا

Not

مَقْطُوعَةٍۢ

limited

maqṭūʿatin

وَلَا

and not

walā

مَمْنُوعَةٍۢ

forbidden

mamnūʿatin

٣٣

Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden,

— Saheeh International

وَفُرُشٍۢ

And (on) couches

wafurushin

مَّرْفُوعَةٍ

raised

marfūʿatin

٣٤

And [upon] beds raised high.

— Saheeh International

إِنَّآ

Indeed, We

innā

أَنشَأْنَـٰهُنَّ

[We] have produced them

anshanāhunna

إِنشَآءًۭ

(into) a creation

inshāan

٣٥

Indeed, We have produced them [i.e., the women of Paradise] in a [new] creation

— Saheeh International

فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُنَّ

And We have made them

fajaʿalnāhunna

أَبْكَارًا

virgins

abkāran

٣٦

And made them virgins,

— Saheeh International

عُرُبًا

Devoted

ʿuruban

أَتْرَابًۭا

equals in age

atrāban

٣٧

Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age,

— Saheeh International

لِّأَصْحَـٰبِ

For (the) companions

li-aṣḥābi

ٱلْيَمِينِ

(of) the right

l-yamīni

٣٨

For the companions of the right [who are]

— Saheeh International

ثُلَّةٌۭ

A company

thullatun

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

the former people

l-awalīna

٣٩

A company of the former peoples

— Saheeh International

وَثُلَّةٌۭ

And a company

wathullatun

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

the later people

l-ākhirīna

٤٠

And a company of the later peoples.

— Saheeh International

وَأَصْحَـٰبُ

And (the) companions

wa-aṣḥābu

ٱلشِّمَالِ

(of) the left

l-shimāli

مَآ

what

أَصْحَـٰبُ

(are the) companions

aṣḥābu

ٱلشِّمَالِ

(of) the left

l-shimāli

٤١

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

— Saheeh International

فِى

In

سَمُومٍۢ

scorching fire

samūmin

وَحَمِيمٍۢ

and scalding water

waḥamīmin

٤٢

[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

— Saheeh International

وَظِلٍّۢ

And a shade

waẓillin

مِّن

of

min

يَحْمُومٍۢ

black smoke

yaḥmūmin

٤٣

And a shade of black smoke,

— Saheeh International

لَّا

Not

بَارِدٍۢ

cool

bāridin

وَلَا

and not

walā

كَرِيمٍ

pleasant

karīmin

٤٤

Neither cool nor beneficial.

— Saheeh International

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed, they

innahum

كَانُوا۟

were

kānū

قَبْلَ

before

qabla

ذَٰلِكَ

that

dhālika

مُتْرَفِينَ

indulging in affluence

mut'rafīna

٤٥

Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

— Saheeh International

وَكَانُوا۟

And were

wakānū

يُصِرُّونَ

persisting

yuṣirrūna

عَلَى

in

ʿalā

ٱلْحِنثِ

the sin

l-ḥinthi

ٱلْعَظِيمِ

the great

l-ʿaẓīmi

٤٦

And they used to persist in the great violation,1

— Saheeh International

وَكَانُوا۟

And they used (to)

wakānū

يَقُولُونَ

say

yaqūlūna

أَئِذَا

When

a-idhā

مِتْنَا

we die

mit'nā

وَكُنَّا

and become

wakunnā

تُرَابًۭا

dust

turāban

وَعِظَـٰمًا

and bones

waʿiẓāman

أَءِنَّا

will we

a-innā

لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

surely be resurrected

lamabʿūthūna

٤٧

And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

— Saheeh International

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا

And also our fathers

awaābāunā

ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

former

l-awalūna

٤٨

And our forefathers [as well]?"

— Saheeh International

قُلْ

Say

qul

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

the former

l-awalīna

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

and the later people

wal-ākhirīna

٤٩

Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, the former and later peoples

— Saheeh International

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ

Surely, will be gathered

lamajmūʿūna

إِلَىٰ

for

ilā

مِيقَـٰتِ

(the) appointment

mīqāti

يَوْمٍۢ

(of) a Day

yawmin

مَّعْلُومٍۢ

well-known

maʿlūmin

٥٠

Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."

— Saheeh International
