وَمَا And not wamā for them lahum about it bihi any min knowledge ʿil'min Not in they follow yattabiʿūna but illā assumption l-ẓana And indeed wa-inna the assumption l-ẓana (does) not lā avail yugh'nī against mina the truth l-ḥaqi anything shayan
And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all.
فَأَعْرِضْ So turn away fa-aʿriḍ from ʿan (him) who man turns away tawallā from ʿan Our Reminder dhik'rinā and not walam he desires yurid except illā the life l-ḥayata (of) the world l-dun'yā

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who alladhīna avoid yajtanibūna great kabāira sins l-ith'mi and the immoralities wal-fawāḥisha except illā the small faults l-lamama indeed inna your Lord rabbaka (is) vast wāsiʿu (in) forgiveness l-maghfirati He huwa (is) most knowing about you aʿlamu (is) most knowing about you bikum when idh He produced you ansha-akum from mina the earth l-arḍi and when wa-idh you (were) antum fetuses ajinnatun in fī (the) wombs buṭūni (of) your mothers ummahātikum So (do) not falā ascribe purity tuzakkū (to) yourselves anfusakum He huwa knows best aʿlamu (he) who bimani fears ittaqā
Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.
