﷽
آل عمران
ٱللَّهُ Allah al-lahu (there is) no lā God ilāha except illā Him huwa the Ever-Living l-ḥayu the Sustainer of all that exists l-qayūmu
Allāh - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining.1
نَزَّلَ He revealed nazzala to you ʿalayka the Book l-kitāba in [the] truth bil-ḥaqi confirming muṣaddiqan that which limā (was) bayna before it yadayhi and He revealed wa-anzala the Taurat l-tawrāta and the Injeel wal-injīla
He has sent down upon you, [O Muḥammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
مِن From min before (this) qablu (as) guidance hudan for the mankind lilnnāsi And (He) revealed wa-anzala the Criterion l-fur'qāna Verily inna those who alladhīna disbelieve[d] kafarū in (the) Verses biāyāti (of) Allah l-lahi for them lahum (is) a punishment ʿadhābun severe shadīdun And Allah wal-lahu (is) All-Mighty ʿazīzun All-Able dhū (of) retribution intiqāmin
Before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Criterion [i.e., the Qur’ān]. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allāh will have a severe punishment, and Allāh is Exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.1
إِنَّ Indeed inna Allah l-laha not lā is hidden yakhfā from Him ʿalayhi anything shayon in fī the earth l-arḍi and not walā in fī the heaven l-samāi
Indeed, from Allāh nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven.
هُوَ He huwa (is) the One Who alladhī shapes you yuṣawwirukum in fī the wombs l-arḥāmi how(ever) kayfa He wills yashāu (There is) no lā god ilāha except illā Him huwa the All-Mighty l-ʿazīzu the All-Wise l-ḥakīmu
It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
هُوَ He huwa (is) the One Who alladhī revealed anzala to you ʿalayka the Book l-kitāba of it min'hu (are) Verses āyātun absolutely clear muḥ'kamātun they (are) hunna the foundation ummu (of) the Book l-kitābi and others wa-ukharu (are) allegorical mutashābihātun Then as for fa-ammā those alladhīna in fī their hearts qulūbihim (is) perversity zayghun [so] they follow fayattabiʿūna what mā (is) allegorical tashābaha of it min'hu seeking ib'tighāa [the] discord l-fit'nati and seeking wa-ib'tighāa its interpretation tawīlihi And not wamā knows yaʿlamu its interpretation tawīlahu except illā Allah l-lahu And those firm wal-rāsikhūna in fī [the] knowledge l-ʿil'mi they say yaqūlūna We believe āmannā in it bihi All kullun (is) min from ʿindi our Lord rabbinā And not wamā will take heed yadhakkaru except illā men ulū (of) understanding l-albābi
It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muḥammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific.1 As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allāh. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.
رَبَّنَا Our Lord rabbanā (Do) not lā deviate tuzigh our hearts qulūbanā after baʿda [when] idh You (have) guided us hadaytanā and grant wahab (for) us lanā from min Yourself ladunka mercy raḥmatan Indeed You innaka You anta (are) the Bestower l-wahābu
[Who say], "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.1
رَبَّنَآ Our Lord rabbanā Indeed, You innaka will gather jāmiʿu [the] mankind l-nāsi on a Day liyawmin (there is) no lā doubt rayba in it fīhi Indeed inna Allah l-laha (does) not lā break yukh'lifu the Promise l-mīʿāda
Our Lord, surely You will gather the people for a Day about which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allāh does not fail in His promise."
