إِنَّ Indeed inna those who alladhīna disbelieve[d] kafarū never lan will avail tugh'niya [for] them ʿanhum their wealth amwāluhum and not walā their children awlāduhum against mina Allah l-lahi anything shayan and those wa-ulāika they (are) hum (the) fuel waqūdu (for) the Fire l-nāri
Indeed, those who disbelieve - never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allāh at all. And it is they who are fuel for the Fire.
كَدَأْبِ Like behavior kadabi (of the) people āli (of) Firaun fir'ʿawna and those who wa-alladhīna (were) from min before them qablihim They denied kadhabū Our Signs biāyātinā so seized them fa-akhadhahumu Allah l-lahu for their sins bidhunūbihim And Allah wal-lahu (is) severe shadīdu (in) [the] punishment l-ʿiqābi
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allāh seized them for their sins. And Allāh is severe in penalty.
قُل Say qul to those who lilladhīna disbelieve[d] kafarū You will be overcome satugh'labūna and you will be gathered watuḥ'sharūna to ilā Hell jahannama [and] an evil wabi'sa [the] resting place l-mihādu
Say to those who disbelieve, "You will be overcome and gathered together to Hell, and wretched is the resting place."
قَدْ Surely qad it was kāna for you lakum a sign āyatun in fī (the) two hosts fi-atayni which met l-taqatā one group fi-atun fighting tuqātilu in fī (the) way sabīli (of) Allah l-lahi and another wa-ukh'rā disbelievers kāfiratun They were seeing them yarawnahum twice of them mith'layhim with the sight raya (of) their eyes l-ʿayni And Allah wal-lahu supports yu-ayyidu with His help binaṣrihi whom man He wills yashāu Indeed inna in fī that dhālika surely (is) a lesson laʿib'ratan for the owners li-ulī (of) vision l-abṣāri
Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met [in combat at Badr] - one fighting in the cause of Allāh and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight.1 But Allāh supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.

Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allāh has with Him the best return [i.e., Paradise].

Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allāh will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allāh. And Allāh is Seeing [i.e., aware] of [His] servants -
