وَمِنْ

And among

wamin

ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ

His Signs

āyātihi

أَنَّكَ

(is) that you

annaka

تَرَى

see

tarā

ٱلْأَرْضَ

the earth

l-arḍa

خَـٰشِعَةًۭ

barren

khāshiʿatan

فَإِذَآ

but when

fa-idhā

أَنزَلْنَا

We send down

anzalnā

عَلَيْهَا

upon it

ʿalayhā

ٱلْمَآءَ

water

l-māa

ٱهْتَزَّتْ

it is stirred (to life)

ih'tazzat

وَرَبَتْ ۚ

and grows

warabat

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلَّذِىٓ

the One Who

alladhī

أَحْيَاهَا

gives it life

aḥyāhā

لَمُحْىِ

(is) surely the Giver of life

lamuḥ'yī

ٱلْمَوْتَىٰٓ ۚ

(to) the dead

l-mawtā

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

عَلَىٰ

(is) on

ʿalā

كُلِّ

every

kulli

شَىْءٍۢ

thing

shayin

قَدِيرٌ

All-Powerful

qadīrun

٣٩

And of His signs is that you see the earth stilled, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and grows. Indeed, He who has given it life is the Giver of Life to the dead. Indeed, He is over all things competent.

— Saheeh International

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

يُلْحِدُونَ

distort

فِىٓ

[in]

ءَايَـٰتِنَا

Our Verses

āyātinā

لَا

(are) not

يَخْفَوْنَ

hidden

yakhfawna

عَلَيْنَآ ۗ

from Us

ʿalaynā

أَفَمَن

So, is (he) who

afaman

يُلْقَىٰ

is cast

yul'qā

فِى

in

ٱلنَّارِ

the Fire

l-nāri

خَيْرٌ

better

khayrun

أَم

or

am

مَّن

(he) who

man

يَأْتِىٓ

comes

yatī

ءَامِنًۭا

secure

āminan

يَوْمَ

(on the) Day

yawma

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ

(of) Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

ٱعْمَلُوا۟

Do

iʿ'malū

مَا

what

شِئْتُمْ ۖ

you will

shi'tum

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

بِمَا

of what

bimā

تَعْمَلُونَ

you do

taʿmalūna

بَصِيرٌ

(is) All-Seer

baṣīrun

٤٠

Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses1 are not concealed from Us. So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.

— Saheeh International

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieve

kafarū

بِٱلذِّكْرِ

in the Reminder

bil-dhik'ri

لَمَّا

when

lammā

جَآءَهُمْ ۖ

it comes to them

jāahum

وَإِنَّهُۥ

And indeed, it

wa-innahu

لَكِتَـٰبٌ

(is) surely a Book

lakitābun

عَزِيزٌۭ

mighty

ʿazīzun

٤١

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message [i.e., the Qur’ān]1 after it has come to them...2 And indeed, it is a mighty3 Book.

— Saheeh International

لَّا

Not

يَأْتِيهِ

comes to it

ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ

the falsehood

l-bāṭilu

مِنۢ

from

بَيْنِ

before it

bayni

يَدَيْهِ

before it

yadayhi

وَلَا

and not

walā

مِنْ

from

min

خَلْفِهِۦ ۖ

behind it

khalfihi

تَنزِيلٌۭ

A Revelation

tanzīlun

مِّنْ

from

min

حَكِيمٍ

(the) All-Wise

ḥakīmin

حَمِيدٍۢ

(the) Praiseworthy

ḥamīdin

٤٢

Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.

— Saheeh International

مَغْفِرَةٍۢ

(of) forgiveness

and Possessor

wadhū

عِقَابٍ

(of) penalty

ʿiqābin

أَلِيمٍۢ

painful

alīmin

٤٣

Nothing is said to you, [O Muḥammad], except what was already said to the messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is a possessor of forgiveness and a possessor of painful penalty.

— Saheeh International

وَلَوْ

And if

walaw

جَعَلْنَـٰهُ

We (had) made it

jaʿalnāhu

قُرْءَانًا

a Quran

qur'ānan

أَعْجَمِيًّۭا

(in) a foreign (language)

aʿjamiyyan

لَّقَالُوا۟

they (would have) said

laqālū

لَوْلَا

Why not

lawlā

فُصِّلَتْ

are explained in detail

fuṣṣilat

ءَايَـٰتُهُۥٓ ۖ

its verses

āyātuhu

ءَا۬عْجَمِىٌّۭ

(Is it) a foreign (language)

āʿ'jamiyyun

وَعَرَبِىٌّۭ ۗ

and an Arab

waʿarabiyyun

قُلْ

Say

qul

هُوَ

It (is)

huwa

لِلَّذِينَ

for those who

lilladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe

āmanū

هُدًۭى

a guidance

hudan

وَشِفَآءٌۭ ۖ

and a healing

washifāon

وَٱلَّذِينَ

And those who

wa-alladhīna

لَا

(do) not

يُؤْمِنُونَ

believe

yu'minūna

فِىٓ

in

ءَاذَانِهِمْ

their ears

ādhānihim

وَقْرٌۭ

(is) deafness

waqrun

وَهُوَ

and it

wahuwa

عَلَيْهِمْ

(is) for them

ʿalayhim

عَمًى ۚ

blindness

ʿaman

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

Those

ulāika

يُنَادَوْنَ

are being called

yunādawna

مِن

from

min

مَّكَانٍۭ

a place

makānin

بَعِيدٍۢ

far

baʿīdin

٤٤

And if We had made it a foreign [i.e., non-Arabic] Qur’ān, they would have said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure." And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.1

— Saheeh International

وَلَقَدْ

And certainly

walaqad

ءَاتَيْنَا

We gave

ātaynā

مُوسَى

Musa

mūsā

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

the Book

l-kitāba

فَٱخْتُلِفَ

but disputes arose

fa-ukh'tulifa

فِيهِ ۗ

therein

fīhi

وَلَوْلَا

And had it not been

walawlā

كَلِمَةٌۭ

(for) a word

kalimatun

سَبَقَتْ

(that) preceded

sabaqat

مِن

from

min

رَّبِّكَ

your Lord

rabbika

لَقُضِىَ

surely, would have been settled

laquḍiya

بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ

between them

baynahum

وَإِنَّهُمْ

But indeed, they

wa-innahum

لَفِى

surely (are) in

lafī

شَكٍّۢ

doubt

shakkin

مِّنْهُ

about it

min'hu

مُرِيبٍۢ

disquieting

murībin

٤٥

And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement.1 And if not for a word [i.e., decree]2 that preceded from your Lord, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed they are, concerning it [i.e., the Qur’ān], in disquieting doubt.

— Saheeh International

مَّنْ

Whoever

man

عَمِلَ

does

ʿamila

صَـٰلِحًۭا

righteous deeds

ṣāliḥan

فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ

then it is for his soul

falinafsihi

وَمَنْ

and whoever

waman

أَسَآءَ

does evil

asāa

فَعَلَيْهَا ۗ

then it is against it

faʿalayhā

وَمَا

And not

wamā

رَبُّكَ

(is) your Lord

rabbuka

بِظَلَّـٰمٍۢ

unjust

biẓallāmin

لِّلْعَبِيدِ

to His slaves

lil'ʿabīdi

٤٦

Whoever does righteousness - it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.

— Saheeh International
