قُلْ Say qul Have you seen ara-aytum if in Allah made jaʿala Allah made l-lahu for you ʿalaykumu the night al-layla continuous sarmadan till ilā (the) Day yawmi (of) the Resurrection l-qiyāmati who man (is the) god ilāhun besides ghayru Allah l-lahi who could bring you yatīkum light biḍiyāin Then will not afalā you hear tasmaʿūna
Say, "Have you considered:1 if Allāh should make for you the night continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allāh could bring you light? Then will you not hear?"
قُلْ Say qul Have you seen ara-aytum if in Allah made jaʿala Allah made l-lahu for you ʿalaykumu the day l-nahāra continuous sarmadan till ilā (the) Day yawmi (of) the Resurrection l-qiyāmati who man (is the) god ilāhun besides ghayru Allah l-lahi who could bring you yatīkum night bilaylin (for) you (to) rest taskunūna in it fīhi Then will not afalā you see tub'ṣirūna
Say, "Have you considered: if Allāh should make for you the day continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allāh could bring you a night in which you may rest? Then will you not see?"
وَمِن And from wamin His Mercy raḥmatihi He made jaʿala for you lakumu the night al-layla and the day wal-nahāra that you may rest litaskunū therein fīhi and that you may seek walitabtaghū from min His Bounty faḍlihi and so that you may walaʿallakum be grateful tashkurūna
And out of His mercy He made for you the night and the day that you may rest therein and [by day] seek from His bounty and [that] perhaps you will be grateful.
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day wayawma He will call them yunādīhim and say fayaqūlu Where ayna (are) My partners shurakāiya whom alladhīna you used (to) kuntum claim tazʿumūna
And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are My 'partners' which you used to claim?"
وَنَزَعْنَا And We will draw forth wanazaʿnā from min every kulli nation ummatin a witness shahīdan and We will say faqul'nā Bring hātū your proof bur'hānakum Then they will know faʿalimū that anna the truth l-ḥaqa (is) for Allah lillahi and (will be) lost waḍalla from them ʿanhum what mā they used (to) kānū invent yaftarūna
And We will extract from every nation a witness and say, "Produce your proof," and they will know that the truth belongs to Allāh, and lost from them is that which they used to invent.
۞ إِنَّ Indeed inna Qarun qārūna was kāna from min (the) people qawmi (of) Musa mūsā but he oppressed fabaghā [on] them ʿalayhim And We gave him waātaynāhu of mina the treasures l-kunūzi which mā indeed inna (the) keys of it mafātiḥahu would burden latanūu a company (of men) bil-ʿuṣ'bati possessors of great strength ulī possessors of great strength l-quwati When idh said qāla to him lahu his people qawmuhu (Do) not lā exult tafraḥ Indeed inna Allah l-laha (does) not lā love yuḥibbu the exultant l-fariḥīna
Indeed, Qārūn was from the people of Moses, but he tyrannized them. And We gave him of treasures whose keys would burden a band of strong men; thereupon his people said to him, "Do not exult. Indeed, Allāh does not like the exultant.
وَٱبْتَغِ But seek wa-ib'taghi through what fīmā Allah has given you ātāka Allah has given you l-lahu the home l-dāra (of) the Hereafter l-ākhirata and (do) not walā forget tansa your share naṣībaka of mina the world l-dun'yā And do good wa-aḥsin as kamā Allah has been good aḥsana Allah has been good l-lahu to you ilayka And (do) not walā seek tabghi corruption l-fasāda in fī the earth l-arḍi Indeed inna Allah l-laha (does) not lā love yuḥibbu the corrupters l-muf'sidīna
But seek, through that which Allāh has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allāh has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allāh does not like corrupters."
