ٱلْحَجُّ

(For) the Hajj

al-ḥaju

أَشْهُرٌۭ

(are) months

ashhurun

مَّعْلُومَـٰتٌۭ ۚ

well known

maʿlūmātun

فَمَن

then whoever

faman

فَرَضَ

undertakes

faraḍa

فِيهِنَّ

therein

fīhinna

ٱلْحَجَّ

the Hajj

l-ḥaja

فَلَا

then no

falā

رَفَثَ

sexual relations

rafatha

وَلَا

and no

walā

فُسُوقَ

wickedness

fusūqa

وَلَا

and no

walā

جِدَالَ

quarrelling

jidāla

فِى

during

ٱلْحَجِّ ۗ

the Hajj

l-ḥaji

وَمَا

And whatever

wamā

تَفْعَلُوا۟

you do

tafʿalū

مِنْ

of

min

خَيْرٍۢ

good

khayrin

يَعْلَمْهُ

knows it

yaʿlamhu

ٱللَّهُ ۗ

Allah

l-lahu

وَتَزَوَّدُوا۟

And take provision

watazawwadū

فَإِنَّ

(but) indeed

fa-inna

خَيْرَ

(the) best

khayra

ٱلزَّادِ

provision

l-zādi

ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۚ

(is) righteousness

l-taqwā

وَٱتَّقُونِ

And fear Me

wa-ittaqūni

يَـٰٓأُو۟لِى

O men

yāulī

ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ

(of) understanding

l-albābi

١٩٧

Ḥajj is [during] well-known months,1 so whoever has made ḥajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of iḥrām], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during ḥajj. And whatever good you do - Allāh knows it. And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is fear of Allāh. And fear Me, O you of understanding.

— Saheeh International

لَيْسَ

Not is

laysa

عَلَيْكُمْ

on you

ʿalaykum

جُنَاحٌ

any sin

junāḥun

أَن

that

an

تَبْتَغُوا۟

you seek

tabtaghū

فَضْلًۭا

bounty

faḍlan

مِّن

from

min

رَّبِّكُمْ ۚ

your Lord

rabbikum

فَإِذَآ

And when

fa-idhā

أَفَضْتُم

you depart

afaḍtum

مِّنْ

from

min

عَرَفَـٰتٍۢ

(Mount) Arafat

ʿarafātin

فَٱذْكُرُوا۟

then remember

fa-udh'kurū

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

عِندَ

near

ʿinda

ٱلْمَشْعَرِ

the Monument

l-mashʿari

ٱلْحَرَامِ ۖ

[the] Sacred

l-ḥarāmi

وَٱذْكُرُوهُ

And remember Him

wa-udh'kurūhu

كَمَا

as

kamā

هَدَىٰكُمْ

He (has) guided you

hadākum

وَإِن

[and] though

wa-in

كُنتُم

you were

kuntum

مِّن

[from]

min

قَبْلِهِۦ

before [it]

qablihi

لَمِنَ

surely among

lamina

ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

those who went astray

l-ḍālīna

١٩٨

There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty1 from your Lord [during ḥajj]. But when you depart from ʿArafāt, remember Allāh at al-Mashʿar al-Ḥarām.2 And remember Him, as He has guided you, for indeed, you were before that among those astray.

— Saheeh International

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

أَفِيضُوا۟

depart

أَفَاضَ

depart

afāḍa

ٱلنَّاسُ

the people

l-nāsu

وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟

and ask forgiveness

wa-is'taghfirū

ٱللَّهَ ۚ

(of) Allah

l-laha

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

غَفُورٌۭ

(is) Oft-Forgiving

ghafūrun

رَّحِيمٌۭ

Most Merciful

raḥīmun

١٩٩

Then depart from the place from where [all] the people depart and ask forgiveness of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.

— Saheeh International

فَإِذَا

Then when

fa-idhā

قَضَيْتُم

you complete[d]

qaḍaytum

مَّنَـٰسِكَكُمْ

your acts of worship

manāsikakum

فَٱذْكُرُوا۟

then remember

fa-udh'kurū

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

كَذِكْرِكُمْ

as you remember

kadhik'rikum

ءَابَآءَكُمْ

your forefathers

ābāakum

أَوْ

or

aw

أَشَدَّ

(with) greater

ashadda

ذِكْرًۭا ۗ

remembrance

dhik'ran

فَمِنَ

And from

famina

ٱلنَّاسِ

the people

l-nāsi

مَن

who

man

يَقُولُ

say

yaqūlu

رَبَّنَآ

Our Lord

rabbanā

ءَاتِنَا

Grant us

ātinā

فِى

in

ٱلدُّنْيَا

the world

l-dun'yā

وَمَا

And not

wamā

لَهُۥ

for him

lahu

فِى

in

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

the Hereafter

l-ākhirati

مِنْ

[of]

min

خَلَـٰقٍۢ

any share

khalāqin

٢٠٠

And when you have completed your rites, remember Allāh like your [previous] remembrance of your fathers or with [much] greater remembrance. And among the people is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world," and he will have in the Hereafter no share.

— Saheeh International

وَمِنْهُم

And from those

wamin'hum

مَّن

who

man

يَقُولُ

say

yaqūlu

رَبَّنَآ

Our Lord

rabbanā

ءَاتِنَا

Grant us

ātinā

فِى

in

ٱلدُّنْيَا

the world

l-dun'yā

حَسَنَةًۭ

good

ḥasanatan

وَفِى

and in

wafī

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

the Hereafter

l-ākhirati

حَسَنَةًۭ

good

ḥasanatan

وَقِنَا

and save us

waqinā

عَذَابَ

(from the) punishment

ʿadhāba

ٱلنَّارِ

(of) the Fire

l-nāri

٢٠١

But among them is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

— Saheeh International

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

Those

ulāika

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

نَصِيبٌۭ

(is) a share

naṣībun

مِّمَّا

of what

mimmā

كَسَبُوا۟ ۚ

they earned

kasabū

وَٱللَّهُ

and Allah

wal-lahu

سَرِيعُ

(is) swift

sarīʿu

ٱلْحِسَابِ

(in taking) account

l-ḥisābi

٢٠٢

Those will have a share of what they have earned, and Allāh is swift in account.

— Saheeh International
