۞ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟

And remember

wa-udh'kurū

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

فِىٓ

during

أَيَّامٍۢ

days

ayyāmin

مَّعْدُودَٰتٍۢ ۚ

numbered

maʿdūdātin

فَمَن

Then (he) who

faman

تَعَجَّلَ

hurries

taʿajjala

فِى

in

يَوْمَيْنِ

two days

yawmayni

فَلَآ

then no

falā

إِثْمَ

sin

ith'ma

عَلَيْهِ

upon him

ʿalayhi

وَمَن

and whoever

waman

تَأَخَّرَ

delays

ta-akhara

فَلَآ

then no

falā

إِثْمَ

sin

ith'ma

عَلَيْهِ ۚ

upon him

ʿalayhi

لِمَنِ

for (the one) who

limani

ٱتَّقَىٰ ۗ

fears

ittaqā

وَٱتَّقُوا۟

And fear

wa-ittaqū

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟

and know

wa-iʿ'lamū

أَنَّكُمْ

that you

annakum

إِلَيْهِ

unto Him

ilayhi

تُحْشَرُونَ

will be gathered

tuḥ'sharūna

٢٠٣

And remember Allāh during [specific] numbered days. Then whoever hastens [his departure] in two days - there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays [until the third] - there is no sin upon him - for him who fears Allāh. And fear Allāh and know that unto Him you will be gathered.

— Saheeh International

وَمِنَ

And of

wamina

ٱلنَّاسِ

the people

l-nāsi

مَن

(is the one) who

man

يُعْجِبُكَ

pleases you

yuʿ'jibuka

قَوْلُهُۥ

(with) his speech

qawluhu

فِى

in

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

the life

l-ḥayati

ٱلدُّنْيَا

(of) the world

l-dun'yā

وَيُشْهِدُ

and he calls to witness

wayush'hidu

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

عَلَىٰ

on

ʿalā

مَا

what

فِى

(is) in

قَلْبِهِۦ

his heart

qalbihi

وَهُوَ

and he

wahuwa

أَلَدُّ

(is) the most quarrelsome

aladdu

ٱلْخِصَامِ

(of) opponents

l-khiṣāmi

٢٠٤

And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allāh to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents.

— Saheeh International

وَإِذَا

And when

wa-idhā

تَوَلَّىٰ

he turns away

tawallā

سَعَىٰ

he strives

saʿā

فِى

in

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

لِيُفْسِدَ

to spread corruption

liyuf'sida

فِيهَا

[in it]

fīhā

وَيُهْلِكَ

and destroys

wayuh'lika

ٱلْحَرْثَ

the crops

l-ḥartha

وَٱلنَّسْلَ ۗ

and progeny

wal-nasla

وَٱللَّهُ

And Allah

wal-lahu

لَا

(does) not

يُحِبُّ

love

yuḥibbu

ٱلْفَسَادَ

[the] corruption

l-fasāda

٢٠٥

And when he goes away, he strives throughout the land to cause corruption therein and destroy crops and animals. And Allāh does not like corruption.

— Saheeh International

وَإِذَا

And when

wa-idhā

قِيلَ

it is said

qīla

لَهُ

to him

lahu

ٱتَّقِ

Fear

ittaqi

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

أَخَذَتْهُ

takes him

akhadhathu

ٱلْعِزَّةُ

(his) pride

l-ʿizatu

بِٱلْإِثْمِ ۚ

to [the] sins

bil-ith'mi

فَحَسْبُهُۥ

Then enough for him

faḥasbuhu

جَهَنَّمُ ۚ

(is) Hell

jahannamu

وَلَبِئْسَ

[and] surely an evil

walabi'sa

ٱلْمِهَادُ

[the] resting-place

l-mihādu

٢٠٦

And when it is said to him, "Fear Allāh," pride in the sin takes hold of him. Sufficient for him is Hellfire, and how wretched is the resting place.

— Saheeh International

وَمِنَ

And of

wamina

ٱلنَّاسِ

the people

l-nāsi

مَن

(is the one) who

man

يَشْرِى

sells

yashrī

نَفْسَهُ

his own self

nafsahu

ٱبْتِغَآءَ

seeking

ib'tighāa

مَرْضَاتِ

pleasure

marḍāti

ٱللَّهِ ۗ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

وَٱللَّهُ

And Allah

wal-lahu

رَءُوفٌۢ

(is) full of Kindness

raūfun

بِٱلْعِبَادِ

to His servants

bil-ʿibādi

٢٠٧

And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allāh. And Allāh is Kind to [His] servants.

— Saheeh International

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O you

yāayyuhā

ٱلَّذِينَ

who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe[d]

āmanū

ٱدْخُلُوا۟

Enter

ud'khulū

فِى

in

ٱلسِّلْمِ

Islam

l-sil'mi

كَآفَّةًۭ

completely

kāffatan

وَلَا

and (do) not

walā

تَتَّبِعُوا۟

follow

tattabiʿū

خُطُوَٰتِ

footsteps

khuṭuwāti

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۚ

(of) the Shaitaan

l-shayṭāni

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, he

innahu

لَكُمْ

(is) for you

lakum

عَدُوٌّۭ

an enemy

ʿaduwwun

مُّبِينٌۭ

open

mubīnun

٢٠٨

O you who have believed, enter into Islām completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.

— Saheeh International

فَإِن

Then if

fa-in

زَلَلْتُم

you slip

zalaltum

مِّنۢ

from

min

بَعْدِ

after

baʿdi

مَا

[what]

جَآءَتْكُمُ

came to you

jāatkumu

ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتُ

(from) the clear proofs

l-bayinātu

فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟

then know

fa-iʿ'lamū

أَنَّ

that

anna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

عَزِيزٌ

(is) All-Mighty

ʿazīzun

حَكِيمٌ

All-Wise

ḥakīmun

٢٠٩

But if you slip [i.e., deviate] after clear proofs have come to you, then know that Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise.

— Saheeh International

هَلْ

Are

hal

يَنظُرُونَ

they waiting

yanẓurūna

إِلَّآ

[except]

illā

أَن

that

an

يَأْتِيَهُمُ

comes to them

yatiyahumu

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

l-lahu

فِى

in

ظُلَلٍۢ

(the) shadows

ẓulalin

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلْغَمَامِ

[the] clouds

l-ghamāmi

وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ

and the Angels

wal-malāikatu

وَقُضِىَ

and is decreed

waquḍiya

ٱلْأَمْرُ ۚ

the matter

l-amru

وَإِلَى

And to

wa-ilā

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

تُرْجَعُ

return

tur'jaʿu

ٱلْأُمُورُ

(all) the matters

l-umūru

٢١٠

Do they await but that Allāh should come to them in covers of clouds and the angels [as well] and the matter is [then] decided? And to Allāh [all] matters are returned.

— Saheeh International
