أَلَآ No doubt alā Indeed inna (the) friends awliyāa (of) Allah l-lahi (there will be) no lā fear khawfun upon then ʿalayhim and not walā they hum will grieve yaḥzanūna
Unquestionably, [for] the allies of Allāh there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve -
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who alladhīna believe āmanū and are wakānū conscious (of Allah) yattaqūna
Those who believed and were fearing Allāh.
لَهُمُ For them lahumu (are) the glad tidings l-bush'rā in fī the life l-ḥayati (of) the world l-dun'yā and in wafī the Hereafter l-ākhirati No lā change tabdīla (is there) in the Words likalimāti (of) Allah l-lahi That dhālika is huwa the success l-fawzu the great l-ʿaẓīmu
For them are good tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. No change is there in the words [i.e., decrees] of Allāh. That is what is the great attainment.
وَلَا And (let) not walā grieve you yaḥzunka their speech qawluhum Indeed inna the honor l-ʿizata (belongs) to Allah lillahi all jamīʿan He huwa (is) the All-Hearer l-samīʿu the All-Knower l-ʿalīmu
And let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, honor [due to power] belongs to Allāh entirely. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
أَلَآ No doubt alā Indeed inna to Allah (belongs) lillahi whoever man (is) in fī the heavens l-samāwāti and whoever waman (is) in fī the earth l-arḍi And not wamā follow yattabiʿu those who alladhīna invoke yadʿūna other than Allah min other than Allah dūni other than Allah l-lahi partners shurakāa Not in they follow yattabiʿūna but illā the assumption l-ẓana and not wa-in they hum but illā guess yakhruṣūna
Unquestionably, to Allāh belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth. And those who invoke other than Allāh do not [actually] follow [His] "partners." They follow not except assumption, and they are not but misjudging.
هُوَ He huwa (is) the One Who alladhī made jaʿala for you lakumu the night al-layla that you may rest litaskunū in it fīhi and the day wal-nahāra giving visibility mub'ṣiran Indeed inna in fī that dhālika surely (are) Signs laāyātin for a people liqawmin (who) listen yasmaʿūna
It is He who made for you the night to rest therein and the day, giving sight.1 Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen.
قَالُوا۟ They say qālū Allah has taken ittakhadha Allah has taken l-lahu a son waladan Glory be to Him sub'ḥānahu He huwa (is) the Self-sufficient l-ghaniyu To Him (belongs) lahu whatever mā (is) in fī the heavens l-samāwāti and whatever wamā (is) in fī the earth l-arḍi Not in you have ʿindakum any min authority sul'ṭānin for this bihādhā Do you say ataqūlūna about ʿalā Allah l-lahi what mā not lā you know taʿlamūna
They1 have said, "Allāh has taken a son." Exalted is He; He is the [one] Free of need. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority2 for this [claim]. Do you say about Allāh that which you do not know?
قُلْ Say qul Indeed inna those who alladhīna invent yaftarūna against ʿalā Allah l-lahi the lie l-kadhiba they will not succeed lā they will not succeed yuf'liḥūna
Say, "Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allāh will not succeed."
مَتَـٰعٌۭ An enjoyment matāʿun in fī the world l-dun'yā then thumma to Us ilaynā (is) their return marjiʿuhum then thumma We will make them taste nudhīquhumu the punishment l-ʿadhāba the severe l-shadīda because bimā they used to kānū disbelieve yakfurūna
[For them is brief] enjoyment in this world; then to Us is their return; then We will make them taste the severe punishment because they used to disbelieve.
