وَلَوْ And if walaw that anna for every likulli soul nafsin (that) wronged ẓalamat whatever mā (is) in fī the earth l-arḍi it (would) seek to ransom la-if'tadat with it bihi and they (will) confide wa-asarrū the regret l-nadāmata when lammā they see ra-awū the punishment l-ʿadhāba But will be judged waquḍiya between them baynahum in justice bil-qis'ṭi and they wahum (will) not lā (be) wronged yuẓ'lamūna
And if each soul that wronged had everything on earth, it would offer it in ransom. And they will confide regret when they see the punishment; and they will be judged in justice, and they will not be wronged.
أَلَآ No doubt alā indeed inna for Allah lillahi (is) whatever mā (is) in fī the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍi No doubt alā indeed inna (the) Promise of Allah waʿda (the) Promise of Allah l-lahi (is) true ḥaqqun But walākinna most of them aktharahum (do) not lā know yaʿlamūna
Unquestionably, to Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Unquestionably, the promise of Allāh is truth, but most of them do not know.
هُوَ He huwa gives life yuḥ'yī and causes death wayumītu and to Him wa-ilayhi you will be returned tur'jaʿūna
He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O mankind yāayyuhā O mankind l-nāsu Verily qad has come to you jāatkum an instruction mawʿiẓatun from min your Lord rabbikum and a healing washifāon for what limā (is) in fī your breasts l-ṣudūri and guidance wahudan and mercy waraḥmatun for the believers lil'mu'minīna
O mankind, there has come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.
قُلْ Say qul In the Bounty bifaḍli (of) Allah l-lahi and in His Mercy wabiraḥmatihi so in that fabidhālika let them rejoice falyafraḥū It huwa (is) better khayrun than what mimmā they accumulate yajmaʿūna
Say, "In the bounty of Allāh and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate."
قُلْ Say qul Have you seen ara-aytum what mā (has been) sent down anzala (by) Allah l-lahu for you lakum of min (the) provision riz'qin and you have made fajaʿaltum of it min'hu unlawful ḥarāman and lawful waḥalālan Say qul Has Allah āllahu permitted adhina [to] you lakum or am about ʿalā Allah l-lahi you invent (lies) taftarūna
Say, "Have you seen what Allāh has sent down to you of provision of which you have made [some] lawful and [some] unlawful?" Say, "Has Allāh permitted you [to do so], or do you invent [something] about Allāh?"
وَمَا And what wamā (will be the) assumption ẓannu (of) those who alladhīna invent yaftarūna against ʿalā Allah l-lahi the lie l-kadhiba (on) the Day yawma (of) the Judgment l-qiyāmati Indeed inna Allah l-laha (is) surely Full (of) Bounty ladhū (is) surely Full (of) Bounty faḍlin to ʿalā the mankind l-nāsi but walākinna most of them aktharahum (are) not lā grateful yashkurūna
And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allāh on the Day of Resurrection?1 Indeed, Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of them are not grateful.
وَمَا And not wamā you are takūnu [in] fī any situation shanin and not wamā you recite tatlū of it min'hu from min (the) Quran qur'ānin and not walā you do taʿmalūna any min deed ʿamalin except illā We are kunnā over you ʿalaykum witnesses shuhūdan when idh you are engaged tufīḍūna in it fīhi And not wamā escapes yaʿzubu from ʿan your Lord rabbika of min (the) weight mith'qāli (of) an atom dharratin in fī the earth l-arḍi and not walā in fī the heavens l-samāi and not walā smaller aṣghara than min that dhālika and not walā greater akbara but illā (is) in fī a Record kitābin clear mubīnin
And, [O Muḥammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter and do not recite any of the Qur’ān and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight1 within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.
