Al-'Ikhlāş
The Sincerity

الإخلاص
قُلْ Say qul He huwa (is) Allah l-lahu the One aḥadun
Say, "He is Allāh, [who is] One,1
ٱللَّهُ Allah al-lahu the Eternal, the Absolute l-ṣamadu
Allāh, the Eternal Refuge.1
لَمْ Not lam He begets yalid and not walam He is begotten yūlad
He neither begets nor is born,
وَلَمْ And not walam is yakun for Him lahu equivalent kufuwan any [one] aḥadun
Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
Al-Falaq
The Daybreak
﷽
الفلق
قُلْ Say qul I seek refuge aʿūdhu in (the) Lord birabbi (of) the dawn l-falaqi
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
مِن From min (the) evil sharri (of) what mā He created khalaqa
From the evil of that which He created
وَمِن And from wamin (the) evil sharri (of) darkness ghāsiqin when idhā it spreads waqaba
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
وَمِن And from wamin (the) evil sharri (of) the blowers l-nafāthāti in fī the knots l-ʿuqadi
And from the evil of the blowers in knots1
وَمِن And from wamin (the) evil sharri (of) an envier ḥāsidin when idhā he envies ḥasada
And from the evil of an envier when he envies."
An-Nās
Mankind
﷽
الناس
قُلْ Say qul I seek refuge aʿūdhu in (the) Lord birabbi (of) mankind l-nāsi
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
مِن From min (the) evil sharri (of) the whisperer l-waswāsi the one who withdraws l-khanāsi
From the evil of the retreating whisperer1 -
ٱلَّذِى The one who alladhī whispers yuwaswisu in fī (the) breasts ṣudūri (of) mankind l-nāsi
Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -
مِنَ From mina the jinn l-jinati and men wal-nāsi
From among the jinn and mankind".1
