جَزَآؤُهُمْ Their reward jazāuhum (is) with ʿinda their Lord rabbihim Gardens jannātu (of) Eternity ʿadnin flow tajrī from min underneath them taḥtihā the rivers l-anhāru will abide khālidīna therein fīhā forever abadan (will be) pleased raḍiya Allah l-lahu with them ʿanhum and they (will be) pleased waraḍū with Him ʿanhu That dhālika (is) for whoever liman feared khashiya his Lord rabbahu
Their reward with their Lord will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allāh being pleased with them and they with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord.
Az-Zalzalah
The Earthquake
﷽
الزلزلة
إِذَا When idhā is shaken zul'zilati the earth l-arḍu (with) its earthquake zil'zālahā
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake
وَأَخْرَجَتِ And brings forth wa-akhrajati the earth l-arḍu its burdens athqālahā
And the earth discharges its burdens1
وَقَالَ And says waqāla man l-insānu What mā (is) with it lahā
And man says,1 "What is [wrong] with it?" -
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ That Day yawma-idhin it will report tuḥaddithu its news akhbārahā
That Day, it will report its news
بِأَنَّ Because bi-anna your Lord rabbaka inspired awḥā [to] it lahā
Because your Lord has inspired [i.e., commanded] it.
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ That Day yawma-idhin will proceed yaṣduru the mankind l-nāsu (in) scattered groups ashtātan to be shown liyuraw their deeds aʿmālahum
That Day, the people will depart1 separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.
فَمَن So whoever faman does yaʿmal (equal to the) weight mith'qāla (of) an atom dharratin good khayran will see it yarahu
So whoever does an atom's weight1 of good will see it,
وَمَن And whoever waman does yaʿmal (equal to the) weight mith'qāla (of) an atom dharratin evil sharran will see it yarahu
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
Al-`Ādiyāt
The Courser
﷽
العاديات
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ By the racers wal-ʿādiyāti panting ḍabḥan
By the racers, panting,1
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ And the producers of sparks fal-mūriyāti striking qadḥan
And the producers of sparks [when] striking1
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ And the chargers fal-mughīrāti (at) dawn ṣub'ḥan
And the chargers at dawn,1
فَأَثَرْنَ Then raise fa-atharna thereby bihi dust naqʿan
Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,
فَوَسَطْنَ Then penetrate (in the) center fawasaṭna thereby bihi collectively jamʿan
Arriving thereby in the center1 collectively,
إِنَّ Indeed inna mankind l-insāna to his Lord lirabbihi (is) surely ungrateful lakanūdun
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, he wa-innahu on ʿalā that dhālika surely (is) a witness lashahīdun
And indeed, he is to that a witness.1
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed he wa-innahu in (the) love liḥubbi (of) wealth l-khayri (is) surely intense lashadīdun
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
۞ أَفَلَا But does not afalā he know yaʿlamu when idhā will be scattered buʿ'thira what mā (is) in fī the graves l-qubūri
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
