إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, it

innahu

لَقُرْءَانٌۭ

(is) surely, a Quran

laqur'ānun

كَرِيمٌۭ

noble

karīmun

٧٧

Indeed, it is a noble Qur’ān.

— Saheeh International

فِى

In

كِتَـٰبٍۢ

a Book

kitābin

مَّكْنُونٍۢ

well-guarded

maknūnin

٧٨

In a Register well-protected;1.

— Saheeh International

لَّا

None

يَمَسُّهُۥٓ

touch it

yamassuhu

إِلَّا

except

illā

ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ

the purified

l-muṭaharūna

٧٩

None touch it except the purified [i.e., the angels].

— Saheeh International

تَنزِيلٌۭ

A Revelation

tanzīlun

مِّن

from

min

رَّبِّ

(the) Lord

rabbi

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

(of) the worlds

l-ʿālamīna

٨٠

[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

— Saheeh International

أَفَبِهَـٰذَا

Then is it to this

afabihādhā

ٱلْحَدِيثِ

statement

l-ḥadīthi

أَنتُم

that you

antum

مُّدْهِنُونَ

(are) indifferent

mud'hinūna

٨١

Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent

— Saheeh International

وَتَجْعَلُونَ

And you make

watajʿalūna

رِزْقَكُمْ

your provision

riz'qakum

أَنَّكُمْ

that you

annakum

تُكَذِّبُونَ

deny

tukadhibūna

٨٢

And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]?

— Saheeh International

فَلَوْلَآ

Then why not

falawlā

إِذَا

when

idhā

بَلَغَتِ

it reaches

balaghati

ٱلْحُلْقُومَ

the throat

l-ḥul'qūma

٨٣

Then why, when it [i.e., the soul at death] reaches the throat

— Saheeh International

وَأَنتُمْ

And you

wa-antum

حِينَئِذٍۢ

(at) that time

ḥīna-idhin

تَنظُرُونَ

look on

tanẓurūna

٨٤

And you are at that time looking on -

— Saheeh International

وَنَحْنُ

And We

wanaḥnu

أَقْرَبُ

(are) nearer

aqrabu

إِلَيْهِ

to him

ilayhi

مِنكُمْ

than you

minkum

وَلَـٰكِن

but

walākin

لَّا

you (do) not see

تُبْصِرُونَ

you (do) not see

tub'ṣirūna

٨٥

And We [i.e., Our angels] are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -

— Saheeh International

فَلَوْلَآ

Then why not

falawlā

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

غَيْرَ

not

ghayra

مَدِينِينَ

to be recompensed

madīnīna

٨٦

Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed,

— Saheeh International

تَرْجِعُونَهَآ

Bring it back

tarjiʿūnahā

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

صَـٰدِقِينَ

truthful

ṣādiqīna

٨٧

Bring it back,1 if you should be truthful?

— Saheeh International

فَأَمَّآ

Then

fa-ammā

إِن

if

in

كَانَ

he was

kāna

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

those brought near

l-muqarabīna

٨٨

And if he [i.e., the deceased] was of those brought near [to Allāh],

— Saheeh International

فَرَوْحٌۭ

Then rest

farawḥun

وَرَيْحَانٌۭ

and bounty

warayḥānun

وَجَنَّتُ

and a Garden

wajannatu

نَعِيمٍۢ

(of) Pleasure

naʿīmin

٨٩

Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure.

— Saheeh International

وَأَمَّآ

And

wa-ammā

إِن

if

in

كَانَ

he was

kāna

مِنْ

of

min

أَصْحَـٰبِ

(the) companions

aṣḥābi

ٱلْيَمِينِ

(of) the right

l-yamīni

٩٠

And if he was of the companions of the right,

— Saheeh International

فَسَلَـٰمٌۭ

Then, peace

fasalāmun

لَّكَ

for you

laka

مِنْ

[from]

min

أَصْحَـٰبِ

(the) companions

aṣḥābi

ٱلْيَمِينِ

(of) the right

l-yamīni

٩١

Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right."

— Saheeh International

وَأَمَّآ

But

wa-ammā

إِن

if

in

كَانَ

he was

kāna

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

the deniers

l-mukadhibīna

ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

the astray

l-ḍālīna

٩٢

But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray,

— Saheeh International

فَنُزُلٌۭ

Then, hospitality

fanuzulun

مِّنْ

of

min

حَمِيمٍۢ

(the) scalding water

ḥamīmin

٩٣

Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water

— Saheeh International

وَتَصْلِيَةُ

And burning

wataṣliyatu

جَحِيمٍ

(in) Hellfire

jaḥīmin

٩٤

And burning in Hellfire.

— Saheeh International

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

لَهُوَ

surely, it

lahuwa

حَقُّ

(is the) truth

ḥaqqu

ٱلْيَقِينِ

certain

l-yaqīni

٩٥

Indeed, this is the true certainty,

— Saheeh International

فَسَبِّحْ

So glorify

fasabbiḥ

بِٱسْمِ

(the) name

bi-is'mi

رَبِّكَ

(of) your Lord

rabbika

ٱلْعَظِيمِ

the Most Great

l-ʿaẓīmi

٩٦

So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.

— Saheeh International

Al-Ĥadīd

The Iron

الحديد

سَبَّحَ

Glorifies

sabbaḥa

لِلَّهِ

[to] Allah

lillahi

مَا

whatever

فِى

(is) in

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

وَهُوَ

and He

wahuwa

ٱلْعَزِيزُ

(is) the All-Mighty

l-ʿazīzu

ٱلْحَكِيمُ

the All-Wise

l-ḥakīmu

١

Whatever is in the heavens and earth exalts Allāh,1 and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

— Saheeh International

لَهُۥ

For Him

lahu

مُلْكُ

(is the) dominion

mul'ku

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

(of) the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

يُحْىِۦ

He gives life

yuḥ'yī

وَيُمِيتُ ۖ

and causes death

wayumītu

وَهُوَ

and He

wahuwa

عَلَىٰ

(is) over

ʿalā

كُلِّ

all

kulli

شَىْءٍۢ

things

shayin

قَدِيرٌ

All-Powerful

qadīrun

٢

His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.

— Saheeh International

هُوَ

He

huwa

ٱلْأَوَّلُ

(is) the First

l-awalu

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرُ

and the Last

wal-ākhiru

وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ

and the Apparent

wal-ẓāhiru

وَٱلْبَاطِنُ ۖ

and the Unapparent

wal-bāṭinu

وَهُوَ

and He

wahuwa

بِكُلِّ

(is) of every

bikulli

شَىْءٍ

thing

shayin

عَلِيمٌ

All-Knower

ʿalīmun

٣

He is the First1 and the Last,2 the Ascendant3 and the Intimate,4 and He is, of all things, Knowing.

— Saheeh International
