يُعْرَفُ Will be known yuʿ'rafu the criminals l-muj'rimūna by their marks bisīmāhum and will be seized fayu'khadhu by the forelocks bil-nawāṣī and the feet wal-aqdāmi
The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
هَـٰذِهِۦ This hādhihi (is) Hell jahannamu which allatī deny yukadhibu [of it] bihā the criminals l-muj'rimūna
This is Hell, which the criminals deny.
يَطُوفُونَ They will go around yaṭūfūna between it baynahā and between wabayna scalding water ḥamīmin heated ānin
They will circulate between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
وَلِمَنْ But for (him) who waliman fears khāfa (the) standing maqāma (before) his Lord rabbihi (are) two gardens jannatāni
But for he who has feared the position of his Lord1 are two gardens -
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِمَا In both of them fīhimā (are) two springs ʿaynāni flowing tajriyāni
In both of them are two springs, flowing.
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِمَا In both of them fīhimā [of] min (are) every kulli fruits fākihatin (in) pairs zawjāni
In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ Reclining muttakiīna on ʿalā couches furushin (whose) inner linings baṭāinuhā (are) of min brocade is'tabraqin and (the) fruit wajanā (of) both the gardens l-janatayni (is) near dānin
[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِنَّ In them fīhinna (will be) companions of modest gaze qāṣirātu (will be) companions of modest gaze l-ṭarfi not lam has touched them yaṭmith'hunna any man insun before them qablahum and not walā any jinn jānnun
In them are women limiting [their] glances,1 untouched2 before them by man or jinnī -
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
كَأَنَّهُنَّ As if they were ka-annahunna rubies l-yāqūtu and coral wal-marjānu
As if they were rubies and coral.1
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
هَلْ Is hal (the) reward jazāu for the good l-iḥ'sāni but illā good l-iḥ'sānu
Is the reward for good [anything] but good?
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
وَمِن Besides these two wamin Besides these two dūnihimā (are) two gardens jannatāni
And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِمَا In both of them fīhimā (are) two springs ʿaynāni gushing forth naḍḍākhatāni
In both of them are two springs, spouting.
فَبِأَىِّ So which fabi-ayyi (of the) favors ālāi (of) your Lord rabbikumā will you both deny tukadhibāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
