۞ فَمَنْ Then who faman (is) more unjust aẓlamu than (one) who mimman lies kadhaba against ʿalā Allah l-lahi and denies wakadhaba the truth bil-ṣid'qi when idh it comes to him jāahu Is (there) not alaysa in fī Hell jahannama an abode mathwan for the disbelievers lil'kāfirīna
So who is more unjust than one who lies about Allāh and denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a residence for the disbelievers?
وَٱلَّذِى And the one who wa-alladhī brought jāa the truth bil-ṣid'qi and believed waṣaddaqa in it bihi those ulāika [they] humu (are) the righteous l-mutaqūna
And the one who has brought the truth [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)] and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous.
لَهُم For them lahum (is) what mā they wish yashāūna with ʿinda their Lord rabbihim That dhālika (is the) reward jazāu (of) the good-doers l-muḥ'sinīna
They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good -
لِيُكَفِّرَ That Allah will remove liyukaffira That Allah will remove l-lahu from them ʿanhum (the) worst aswa-a (of) what alladhī they did ʿamilū and reward them wayajziyahum their due ajrahum for (the) best bi-aḥsani (of) what alladhī they used to kānū do yaʿmalūna
That Allāh may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their due for the best of what they used to do.
أَلَيْسَ Is not alaysa Allah l-lahu sufficient bikāfin (for) His slave ʿabdahu And they threaten you wayukhawwifūnaka with those bi-alladhīna besides Him min besides Him dūnihi And whoever waman Allah lets go astray yuḍ'lili Allah lets go astray l-lahu then not famā for him lahu any min guide hādin
Is not Allāh sufficient for His Servant [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)]? And [yet], they threaten you with those [they worship] other than Him. And whoever Allāh leaves astray - for him there is no guide.
وَمَن And whoever waman Allah guides yahdi Allah guides l-lahu then not famā for him lahu any min misleader muḍillin Is not alaysa Allah l-lahu All-Mighty biʿazīzin All-Able of retribution dhī All-Able of retribution intiqāmin
And whoever Allāh guides - for him there is no misleader. Is not Allāh Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution?
وَلَئِن And if wala-in you ask them sa-altahum who man created khalaqa the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍa Surely, they will say layaqūlunna Allah l-lahu Say qul Then do you see afara-aytum what mā you invoke tadʿūna besides min besides dūni Allah l-lahi if in Allah intended for me arādaniya Allah intended for me l-lahu harm biḍurrin are hal they hunna removers kāshifātu (of) harm (from) Him ḍurrihi or aw if He intended for me arādanī mercy biraḥmatin are hal they hunna withholders mum'sikātu (of) His mercy raḥmatihi Say qul Sufficient (is) Allah for me ḥasbiya Sufficient (is) Allah for me l-lahu upon Him ʿalayhi put trust yatawakkalu those who trust l-mutawakilūna
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allāh." Say, "Then have you considered1 what you invoke besides Allāh? If Allāh intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allāh; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."
قُلْ Say qul O my people yāqawmi Work iʿ'malū (according) to ʿalā your position makānatikum indeed, I am innī working ʿāmilun then soon fasawfa you will know taʿlamūna
Say, "O my people, work according to your position, [for] indeed, I am working; and you are going to know
مَن (Upon) whom man will come yatīhi a punishment ʿadhābun disgracing him yukh'zīhi and descends wayaḥillu on him ʿalayhi a punishment ʿadhābun everlasting muqīmun
To whom will come a torment disgracing him and on whom will descend an enduring punishment."
