وَلَا And not walā benefits tanfaʿu the intercession l-shafāʿatu with Him ʿindahu except illā for (one) whom liman He permits adhina for him lahu Until ḥattā when idhā fear is removed fuzziʿa on ʿan their hearts qulūbihim they will say qālū What is that mādhā your Lord has said qāla your Lord has said rabbukum They will say qālū The truth l-ḥaqa And He wahuwa (is) the Most High l-ʿaliyu the Most Great l-kabīru
And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one whom He permits. [And those wait] until, when terror is removed from their hearts,1 they will say [to one another], "What has your Lord said?" They will say, "The truth." And He is the Most High, the Grand.
۞ قُلْ Say qul Who man provides (for) you yarzuqukum from mina the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍi Say quli Allah l-lahu And indeed, we wa-innā or aw you iyyākum (are) surely upon laʿalā guidance hudan or aw in fī error ḍalālin clear mubīnin
Say, "Who provides for you from the heavens and the earth?" Say, "Allāh. And indeed, we or you are either upon guidance or in clear error."
قُل Say qul Not lā you will be asked tus'alūna about what ʿammā sins we committed ajramnā and not walā we will be asked nus'alu about what ʿammā you do taʿmalūna
Say, "You will not be asked about what we committed, and we will not be asked about what you do."
قُلْ Say qul Will gather yajmaʿu us together baynanā our Lord rabbunā then thumma He will judge yaftaḥu between us baynanā in truth bil-ḥaqi And He wahuwa (is) the Judge l-fatāḥu the All-Knowing l-ʿalīmu
Say, "Our Lord will bring us together; then He will judge between us in truth. And He is the Knowing Judge."1
قُلْ Say qul Show me arūniya those whom alladhīna you have joined alḥaqtum with Him bihi (as) partners shurakāa By no means kallā Nay bal He huwa (is) Allah l-lahu the All-Mighty l-ʿazīzu the All-Wise l-ḥakīmu
Say, "Show me those whom you have attached to Him as partners. No! Rather, He [alone] is Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
وَمَآ And not wamā We have sent you arsalnāka except illā comprehensively kāffatan to mankind lilnnāsi (as) a giver of glad tidings bashīran and (as) a warner wanadhīran But walākinna most akthara [the] people l-nāsi (do) not lā know yaʿlamūna
And We have not sent you except comprehensively1 to mankind as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. But most of the people do not know.
وَيَقُولُونَ And they say wayaqūlūna When matā (is) this hādhā promise l-waʿdu if in you are kuntum truthful ṣādiqīna
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
قُل Say qul For you lakum (is the) appointment mīʿādu (of) a Day yawmin not lā you can postpone tastakhirūna [of] it ʿanhu (for) an hour sāʿatan and not walā (can) you precede (it) tastaqdimūna
Say, "For you is the appointment of a Day [when] you will not remain thereafter an hour, nor will you precede [it]."
وَقَالَ And say waqāla those who alladhīna disbelieve kafarū Never will lan we believe nu'mina in this bihādhā Quran l-qur'āni and not walā in (that) which bi-alladhī (was) before it bayna (was) before it yadayhi But if walaw you (could) see tarā when idhi the wrongdoers l-ẓālimūna will be made to stand mawqūfūna before ʿinda their Lord rabbihim will throw back yarjiʿu some of them baʿḍuhum to ilā others baʿḍin the word l-qawla Will say yaqūlu those who alladhīna were oppressed us'tuḍ'ʿifū to those who lilladhīna were arrogant is'takbarū If not lawlā (for) you antum certainly we (would) have been lakunnā believers mu'minīna
And those who disbelieve say, "We will never believe in this Qur’ān nor in that before it." But if you could see when the wrongdoers are made to stand before their Lord, refuting each others' words...1 Those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, "If not for you, we would have been believers."
