۞ إِنَّ Indeed inna Allah l-laha (is the) Cleaver fāliqu (of) the grain l-ḥabi and the date-seed wal-nawā He brings forth yukh'riju the living l-ḥaya from mina the dead l-mayiti and brings forth wamukh'riju the dead l-mayiti from mina the living l-ḥayi That dhālikumu (is) Allah l-lahu so how fa-annā are you deluded tu'fakūna
Indeed, Allāh is the cleaver of grain and date seeds.1 He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living. That is Allāh; so how are you deluded?
فَالِقُ (He is the) Cleaver fāliqu (of) the daybreak l-iṣ'bāḥi and He has made wajaʿala the night al-layla (for) rest sakanan and the sun wal-shamsa and the moon wal-qamara (for) reckoning ḥus'bānan That dhālika (is the) ordaining taqdīru (of) the All-Mighty l-ʿazīzi the All-Knowing l-ʿalīmi
[He is] the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation.1 That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
وَهُوَ And He wahuwa (is) the One Who alladhī made jaʿala for you lakumu the stars l-nujūma that you may guide yourselves litahtadū with them bihā in fī the darkness[es] ẓulumāti (of) the land l-bari and the sea wal-baḥri Certainly qad We have made clear faṣṣalnā the Signs l-āyāti for a people liqawmin (who) know yaʿlamūna
And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know.
وَهُوَ And He wahuwa (is) the One Who alladhī (has) produced you ansha-akum from min a soul nafsin single wāḥidatin so (there is) a place of dwelling famus'taqarrun and a resting place wamus'tawdaʿun Certainly qad We have made clear faṣṣalnā the Signs l-āyāti for a people liqawmin (who) understand yafqahūna
And it is He who produced you from one soul and [gave you] a place of dwelling and of storage.1 We have detailed the signs for a people who understand.
وَهُوَ And He wahuwa (is) the One Who alladhī sends down anzala from mina the sky l-samāi water māan then We bring forth fa-akhrajnā with it bihi vegetation nabāta (of) every kulli thing shayin Then We bring forth fa-akhrajnā from it min'hu green plant khaḍiran We bring forth nukh'riju from it min'hu grain ḥabban thick clustered mutarākiban And from wamina the date-palm l-nakhli from min its spathe ṭalʿihā clusters of dates qin'wānun hanging low dāniyatun And gardens wajannātin of min grapes aʿnābin and the olives wal-zaytūna and the pomegranates wal-rumāna resembling mush'tabihan and not waghayra resembling mutashābihin Look unẓurū at ilā its fruit thamarihi when idhā it bears fruit athmara and its ripening wayanʿihi Indeed inna in fī that dhālikum (are) signs laāyātin for a people liqawmin (who) believe yu'minūna
And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
وَجَعَلُوا۟ And they make wajaʿalū with Allah lillahi partners shurakāa jinn l-jina though He has created them wakhalaqahum and they falsely attribute wakharaqū to Him lahu sons banīna and daughters wabanātin without bighayri knowledge ʿil'min Glorified is He sub'ḥānahu and Exalted wataʿālā above what ʿammā they attribute yaṣifūna
But they have attributed to Allāh partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Exalted is He and high above what they describe.
بَدِيعُ Originator badīʿu (of) the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍi How annā can be yakūnu for Him lahu a son waladun while not walam (there) is takun for Him lahu a companion ṣāḥibatun and He created wakhalaqa every kulla thing shayin And He wahuwa (is) of every bikulli thing shayin All-Knower ʿalīmun
[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion [i.e., wife] and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.
