۞ يَوْمَ (The) day yawma will (be) gathered yajmaʿu (by) Allah l-lahu the Messengers l-rusula and He will say fayaqūlu What mādhā was (the) response you received ujib'tum They said qālū (There is) no lā knowledge ʿil'ma for us lanā Indeed You innaka You anta (are the) Knower ʿallāmu (of) the unseen l-ghuyūbi
[Be warned of] the Day when Allāh will assemble the messengers and say, "What was the response you received?" They will say, "We have no knowledge. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen" -
إِذْ When idh said qāla Allah l-lahu O Isa yāʿīsā son ib'na (of) Maryam maryama Remember udh'kur My Favor niʿ'matī upon you ʿalayka and upon waʿalā your mother wālidatika when idh I strengthened you ayyadttuka with (the) Spirit birūḥi the Holy l-qudusi you spoke tukallimu (to) the people l-nāsa in fī the cradle l-mahdi and (in) maturity wakahlan And when wa-idh I taught you ʿallamtuka the Book l-kitāba and the wisdom wal-ḥik'mata and the Taurat wal-tawrāta and the Injeel wal-injīla and when wa-idh you make takhluqu from mina the clay l-ṭīni like the shape kahayati (of) the bird l-ṭayri by My permission bi-idh'nī then you breath fatanfukhu into it fīhā and it becomes fatakūnu a bird ṭayran by My permission bi-idh'nī and you heal watub'ri-u the born blind l-akmaha and the leper wal-abraṣa by My permission bi-idh'nī and when wa-idh you bring forth tukh'riju the dead l-mawtā by My permission bi-idh'nī And when wa-idh I restrained kafaftu (the) Children banī (of) Israel is'rāīla from you ʿanka when idh you came to them ji'tahum with the clear proofs bil-bayināti then said faqāla those who alladhīna disbelieved kafarū among them min'hum Not in (is) this hādhā but illā magic siḥ'run clear mubīnun
[The Day] when Allāh will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit [i.e., the angel Gabriel] and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind [from birth] and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but obvious magic."
وَإِذْ And when wa-idh I inspired awḥaytu to ilā the disciples l-ḥawāriyīna to an believe āminū in Me bī and in My Messenger wabirasūlī they said qālū We believe āmannā and bear witness wa-ish'had that indeed we bi-annanā (are) Muslims mus'limūna
And [remember] when I inspired to the disciples, "Believe in Me and in My messenger [i.e., Jesus]." They said, "We have believed, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims [in submission to Allāh]."
إِذْ When idh said qāla the disciples l-ḥawāriyūna O Isa yāʿīsā son ib'na (of) Maryam maryama Is hal able yastaṭīʿu your Lord rabbuka to an send down yunazzila to us ʿalaynā a table spread māidatan from mina the heaven l-samāi He said qāla Fear ittaqū Allah l-laha if in you are kuntum believers mu'minīna
[And remember] when the disciples said, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord1 send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven?" [Jesus] said, "Fear Allāh, if you should be believers."
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū We wish nurīdu that an we eat nakula from it min'hā and satisfy wataṭma-inna our hearts qulūbunā and we know wanaʿlama that an certainly qad you have spoken the truth to us ṣadaqtanā and we be wanakūna over it ʿalayhā among mina the witnesses l-shāhidīna
They said, "We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses."
