قُلْ Say qul Not in I know adrī whether is near aqarībun what mā you are promised tūʿadūna or (whether) am will appoint yajʿalu for it lahu my Lord rabbī a (distant) term amadan
Say, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period."
عَـٰلِمُ (The) All-Knower ʿālimu (of) the unseen l-ghaybi so not falā He reveals yuẓ'hiru from ʿalā His unseen ghaybihi (to) anyone aḥadan
[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone
إِلَّا Except illā whom mani He has approved ir'taḍā of min a Messenger rasūlin and indeed, He fa-innahu makes to march yasluku from min before bayni him yadayhi and from wamin behind him khalfihi a guard raṣadan
Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before him [i.e., each messenger] and behind him observers
لِّيَعْلَمَ That He may make evident liyaʿlama that an indeed qad they have conveyed ablaghū (the) Messages risālāti (of) their Lord rabbihim and He has encompassed wa-aḥāṭa what bimā (is) with them ladayhim and He takes account wa-aḥṣā (of) all kulla things shayin (in) number ʿadadan
That he [i.e., Muḥammad (ﷺ)] may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number.
