الصف

سَبَّحَ

Glorifies

sabbaḥa

لِلَّهِ

Allah

lillahi

مَا

whatever

فِى

(is) in

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَمَا

and whatever

wamā

فِى

(is) in

ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ

the earth

l-arḍi

وَهُوَ

And He

wahuwa

ٱلْعَزِيزُ

(is) the All-Mighty

l-ʿazīzu

ٱلْحَكِيمُ

the All-Wise

l-ḥakīmu

١

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allāh,1 and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

— Saheeh International

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O

yāayyuhā

ٱلَّذِينَ

(you) who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe

āmanū

لِمَ

Why

lima

تَقُولُونَ

(do) you say

taqūlūna

مَا

what

لَا

not

تَفْعَلُونَ

you do

tafʿalūna

٢

O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?

— Saheeh International

كَبُرَ

Great is

kabura

مَقْتًا

hatred

maqtan

عِندَ

with

ʿinda

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

أَن

that

an

تَقُولُوا۟

you say

taqūlū

مَا

what

لَا

not

تَفْعَلُونَ

you do

tafʿalūna

٣

Greatly hateful in the sight of Allāh is that you say what you do not do.

— Saheeh International

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

يُحِبُّ

loves

yuḥibbu

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

يُقَـٰتِلُونَ

fight

yuqātilūna

فِى

in

سَبِيلِهِۦ

His Way

sabīlihi

صَفًّۭا

(in) a row

ṣaffan

كَأَنَّهُم

as if they

ka-annahum

بُنْيَـٰنٌۭ

(were) a structure

bun'yānun

مَّرْصُوصٌۭ

joined firmly

marṣūṣun

٤

Indeed, Allāh loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly.

— Saheeh International

وَإِذْ

And when

wa-idh

قَالَ

said

qāla

مُوسَىٰ

Musa

mūsā

لِقَوْمِهِۦ

to his people

liqawmihi

يَـٰقَوْمِ

O my people

yāqawmi

لِمَ

Why

lima

تُؤْذُونَنِى

do you hurt me

tu'dhūnanī

وَقَد

while certainly

waqad

تَّعْلَمُونَ

you know

taʿlamūna

أَنِّى

that I am

annī

رَسُولُ

(the) Messenger

rasūlu

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

إِلَيْكُمْ ۖ

to you

ilaykum

فَلَمَّا

Then when

falammā

زَاغُوٓا۟

they deviated

zāghū

أَزَاغَ

(was caused to) deviate

azāgha

ٱللَّهُ

(by) Allah

l-lahu

قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ

their hearts

qulūbahum

وَٱللَّهُ

And Allah

wal-lahu

لَا

(does) not

يَهْدِى

guide

yahdī

ٱلْقَوْمَ

the people

l-qawma

ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ

the defiantly disobedient

l-fāsiqīna

٥

And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, why do you harm me while you certainly know that I am the messenger of Allāh to you?" And when they deviated, Allāh caused their hearts to deviate. And Allāh does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

— Saheeh International

وَإِذْ

And when

wa-idh

قَالَ

said

عِيسَى

Isa

ʿīsā

ٱبْنُ

son

ub'nu

مَرْيَمَ

(of) Maryam

maryama

يَـٰبَنِىٓ

O Children

yābanī

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

(of) Israel

is'rāīla

إِنِّى

Indeed, I am

innī

رَسُولُ

(the) Messenger

rasūlu

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

إِلَيْكُم

to you

ilaykum

مُّصَدِّقًۭا

confirming

muṣaddiqan

لِّمَا

that which

limā

بَيْنَ

(was) between

bayna

يَدَىَّ

my hands

yadayya

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ

the Taurat

l-tawrāti

وَمُبَشِّرًۢا

and bringing glad tidings

wamubashiran

بِرَسُولٍۢ

(of) a Messenger

birasūlin

يَأْتِى

to come

yatī

مِنۢ

from

min

بَعْدِى

after me

baʿdī

ٱسْمُهُۥٓ

whose name (will be)

us'muhu

أَحْمَدُ ۖ

Ahmad

aḥmadu

فَلَمَّا

But when

falammā

جَآءَهُم

he came to them

jāahum

بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ

with clear proofs

bil-bayināti

قَالُوا۟

they said

qālū

هَـٰذَا

This

hādhā

سِحْرٌۭ

(is) a magic

siḥ'run

مُّبِينٌۭ

clear

mubīnun

٦

And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allāh to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Aḥmad."1 But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."2

— Saheeh International

وَمَنْ

And who

waman

أَظْلَمُ

(is) more wrong

aẓlamu

مِمَّنِ

than (one) who

mimmani

ٱفْتَرَىٰ

invents

if'tarā

عَلَى

upon

ʿalā

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

ٱلْكَذِبَ

the lie

l-kadhiba

وَهُوَ

while he

wahuwa

يُدْعَىٰٓ

is invited

yud'ʿā

إِلَى

to

ilā

ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمِ ۚ

Islam

l-is'lāmi

وَٱللَّهُ

And Allah

wal-lahu

لَا

(does) not

يَهْدِى

guide

yahdī

ٱلْقَوْمَ

the people

l-qawma

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

[the] wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

٧

And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allāh untruth while he is being invited to Islām. And Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.

— Saheeh International

يُرِيدُونَ

They intend

yurīdūna

لِيُطْفِـُٔوا۟

to put out

liyuṭ'fiū

نُورَ

(the) light

nūra

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ

with their mouths

bi-afwāhihim

وَٱللَّهُ

but Allah

wal-lahu

مُتِمُّ

will perfect

mutimmu

نُورِهِۦ

His Light

nūrihi

وَلَوْ

although

walaw

كَرِهَ

dislike

kariha

ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

the disbelievers

l-kāfirūna

٨

They want to extinguish the light of Allāh with their mouths, but Allāh will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.

— Saheeh International

هُوَ

He

huwa

ٱلَّذِىٓ

(is) the One Who

alladhī

أَرْسَلَ

sent

arsala

رَسُولَهُۥ

His Messenger

rasūlahu

بِٱلْهُدَىٰ

with guidance

bil-hudā

وَدِينِ

and (the) religion

wadīni

ٱلْحَقِّ

(of) the truth

l-ḥaqi

لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ

to make it prevail

liyuẓ'hirahu

عَلَى

over

ʿalā

ٱلدِّينِ

the religion

l-dīni

كُلِّهِۦ

all of them

kullihi

وَلَوْ

although

walaw

كَرِهَ

dislike (it)

kariha

ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ

the polytheists

l-mush'rikūna

٩

It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allāh dislike it.

— Saheeh International

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O

yāayyuhā

ٱلَّذِينَ

(you) who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe

āmanū

هَلْ

Shall

hal

أَدُلُّكُمْ

I guide you

adullukum

عَلَىٰ

to

ʿalā

تِجَـٰرَةٍۢ

a transaction

tijāratin

تُنجِيكُم

(that) will save you

tunjīkum

مِّنْ

from

min

عَذَابٍ

a punishment

ʿadhābin

أَلِيمٍۢ

painful

alīmin

١٠

O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment?

— Saheeh International

تُؤْمِنُونَ

Believe

tu'minūna

بِٱللَّهِ

in Allah

bil-lahi

وَرَسُولِهِۦ

and His Messenger

warasūlihi

وَتُجَـٰهِدُونَ

and strive

watujāhidūna

فِى

in

سَبِيلِ

(the) way

sabīli

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

بِأَمْوَٰلِكُمْ

with your wealth

bi-amwālikum

وَأَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ

and your lives

wa-anfusikum

ذَٰلِكُمْ

That

dhālikum

خَيْرٌۭ

(is) better

khayrun

لَّكُمْ

for you

lakum

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you

kuntum

تَعْلَمُونَ

know

taʿlamūna

١١

[It is that] you believe in Allāh and His Messenger and strive in the cause of Allāh with your wealth and your lives. That is best for you, if you only knew.

— Saheeh International

يَغْفِرْ

He will forgive

yaghfir

لَكُمْ

for you

lakum

ذُنُوبَكُمْ

your sins

dhunūbakum

وَيُدْخِلْكُمْ

and admit you

wayud'khil'kum

جَنَّـٰتٍۢ

(in) Gardens

jannātin

تَجْرِى

flow

tajrī

مِن

from

min

تَحْتِهَا

underneath it

taḥtihā

ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ

the rivers

l-anhāru

وَمَسَـٰكِنَ

and dwellings

wamasākina

طَيِّبَةًۭ

pleasant

ṭayyibatan

فِى

in

جَنَّـٰتِ

Gardens

jannāti

عَدْنٍۢ ۚ

(of) Eternity

ʿadnin

ذَٰلِكَ

That

dhālika

ٱلْفَوْزُ

(is) the success

l-fawzu

ٱلْعَظِيمُ

the great

l-ʿaẓīmu

١٢

He will forgive for you your sins and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence. That is the great attainment.

— Saheeh International

وَأُخْرَىٰ

And another

wa-ukh'rā

تُحِبُّونَهَا ۖ

that you love

tuḥibbūnahā

نَصْرٌۭ

a help

naṣrun

مِّنَ

from

mina

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

وَفَتْحٌۭ

and a victory

wafatḥun

قَرِيبٌۭ ۗ

near

qarībun

وَبَشِّرِ

and give glad tidings

wabashiri

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

(to) the believers

l-mu'minīna

١٣

And [you will obtain] another [favor] that you love - victory from Allāh and an imminent conquest; and give good tidings to the believers.

— Saheeh International

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O you

yāayyuhā

ٱلَّذِينَ

who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe

āmanū

كُونُوٓا۟

Be

kūnū

أَنصَارَ

helpers

anṣāra

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

كَمَا

as

kamā

قَالَ

said

qāla

عِيسَى

Isa

ʿīsā

ٱبْنُ

son

ub'nu

مَرْيَمَ

(of) Maryam

maryama

لِلْحَوَارِيِّـۧنَ

to the disciples

lil'ḥawāriyyīna

مَنْ

Who

man

أَنصَارِىٓ

(are) my helpers

anṣārī

إِلَى

for

ilā

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

Allah

l-lahi

قَالَ

Said

qāla

ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ

the disciples

l-ḥawāriyūna

نَحْنُ

We

naḥnu

أَنصَارُ

(are) the helpers

anṣāru

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

فَـَٔامَنَت

Then believed

faāmanat

طَّآئِفَةٌۭ

a group

ṭāifatun

مِّنۢ

of

min

بَنِىٓ

Children

banī

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

(of) Israel

is'rāīla

وَكَفَرَت

and disbelieved

wakafarat

طَّآئِفَةٌۭ ۖ

a group

ṭāifatun

فَأَيَّدْنَا

So We supported

fa-ayyadnā

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believed

āmanū

عَلَىٰ

against

ʿalā

عَدُوِّهِمْ

their enemy

ʿaduwwihim

فَأَصْبَحُوا۟

and they became

fa-aṣbaḥū

ظَـٰهِرِينَ

dominant

ẓāhirīna

١٤

O you who have believed, be supporters of Allāh, as when Jesus, the son of Mary, said to the disciples, "Who are my supporters for Allāh?" The disciples said, "We are supporters of Allāh." And a faction of the Children of Israel believed and a faction disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant.

— Saheeh International
