قُل Say qul Not lā (do) I say aqūlu to you lakum (that) with me ʿindī (are the) treasures khazāinu (of) Allah l-lahi and not walā (that) I know aʿlamu the unseen l-ghayba and not walā I say aqūlu to you lakum that I (am) innī an Angel malakun Not in (do) I follow attabiʿu except illā what mā is revealed yūḥā to me ilayya Say qul Can hal be equal yastawī the blind l-aʿmā and the seeing one wal-baṣīru Then will not afalā you give thought tatafakkarūna
Say, [O Muḥammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allāh or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?"
وَأَنذِرْ And warn wa-andhir with it bihi those who alladhīna fear yakhāfūna that an they will be gathered yuḥ'sharū to ilā their Lord rabbihim not laysa for them lahum of min other than Him dūnihi any protector waliyyun and not walā any intercessor shafīʿun so that they may laʿallahum (become) righteous yattaqūna
And warn by it [i.e., the Qur’ān] those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - for them besides Him will be no protector and no intercessor - that they might become righteous.
وَلَا And (do) not walā send away taṭrudi those who alladhīna call yadʿūna their Lord rabbahum in the morning bil-ghadati and the evening wal-ʿashiyi desiring yurīdūna His Countenance wajhahu Not mā (is) on you ʿalayka of min their account ḥisābihim [of] min anything shayin and not wamā from min your account ḥisābika on them ʿalayhim [of] min anything shayin So were you to send them away fataṭrudahum then you would be fatakūna of mina the wrongdoers l-ẓālimīna
And do not send away those who call upon their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His face [i.e., favor]. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your account. So were you to send them away, you would [then] be of the wrongdoers.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus wakadhālika We try fatannā some of them baʿḍahum with others bibaʿḍin that they say liyaqūlū Are these ahāulāi (whom has been) favored manna (by) Allah l-lahu [upon them] ʿalayhim from min among us bayninā is not alaysa Allah l-lahu most knowing bi-aʿlama of those who are grateful bil-shākirīna
And thus We have tried some of them through others that they [i.e., the disbelievers] might say, "Is it these whom Allāh has favored among us?" Is not Allāh most knowing of those who are grateful?
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā come to you jāaka those who alladhīna believe yu'minūna in Our Verses biāyātinā then say faqul Peace salāmun (be) upon you ʿalaykum (Has) Prescribed kataba your Lord rabbukum upon ʿalā Himself nafsihi the Mercy l-raḥmata that he annahu who man does ʿamila among you minkum evil sūan in ignorance bijahālatin then thumma repents tāba from min after it baʿdihi and reforms wa-aṣlaḥa then, indeed He fa-annahu (is) Oft-Forgiving ghafūrun Most Merciful raḥīmun
And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful."
