۞ وَلَقَدْ And certainly walaqad took akhadha Allah l-lahu a Covenant mīthāqa (from the) Children banī (of) Israel is'rāīla and We appointed wabaʿathnā among them min'humu two ith'nay (and) ten ʿashara leaders naqīban And said waqāla Allah l-lahu Indeed, I (am) innī with you maʿakum if la-in you establish aqamtumu the prayer l-ṣalata and give waātaytumu the zakah l-zakata and you believe waāmantum in My Messengers birusulī and you assist them waʿazzartumūhum and you loan wa-aqraḍtumu (to) Allah l-laha a loan qarḍan goodly ḥasanan surely I will remove la-ukaffiranna from you ʿankum your evil deeds sayyiātikum and I will surely admit you wala-ud'khilannakum (to) gardens jannātin flow tajrī from min underneath them taḥtihā the rivers l-anhāru But whoever faman disbelieved kafara after baʿda that dhālika among you minkum then certainly faqad he strayed ḍalla (from) the way sawāa the right l-sabīli
And Allāh had already taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We delegated from among them twelve leaders. And Allāh said, "I am with you. If you establish prayer and give zakāh and believe in My messengers and support them and loan Allāh a goodly loan,1 I will surely remove from you your misdeeds and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever of you disbelieves after that has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way."
