ءَامِنُوا۟ Believe āminū in Allah bil-lahi and His Messenger warasūlihi and spend wa-anfiqū of what mimmā He has made you jaʿalakum trustees mus'takhlafīna therein fīhi And those fa-alladhīna who believe āmanū among you minkum and spend wa-anfaqū for them lahum (is) a reward ajrun great kabīrun
Believe in Allāh and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successive inheritors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.
وَمَا And what wamā (is) for you lakum (that) not lā you believe tu'minūna in Allah bil-lahi while the Messenger wal-rasūlu calls you yadʿūkum that you believe litu'minū in your Lord birabbikum and indeed waqad He has taken akhadha your covenant mīthāqakum if in you are kuntum believers mu'minīna
And why do you not believe in Allāh while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?
هُوَ He huwa (is) the One Who alladhī sends down yunazzilu upon ʿalā His slave ʿabdihi Verses āyātin clear bayyinātin that He may bring you out liyukh'rijakum from mina the darkness[es] l-ẓulumāti into ilā the light l-nūri And indeed wa-inna Allah l-laha to you bikum (is the) Most Kind laraūfun (the) Most Merciful raḥīmun
It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muḥammad (ﷺ)] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allāh is to you Kind and Merciful.
وَمَا And what wamā (is) for you lakum that not allā you spend tunfiqū in fī (the) way sabīli (of) Allah l-lahi while for Allah walillahi (is the) heritage mīrāthu (of) the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍi Not lā are equal yastawī among you minkum (those) who man spent anfaqa before min before qabli the victory l-fatḥi and fought waqātala Those ulāika (are) greater aʿẓamu (in) degree darajatan than mina those who alladhīna spent anfaqū afterwards min afterwards baʿdu and fought waqātalū But to all wakullan Allah has promised waʿada Allah has promised l-lahu the best l-ḥus'nā And Allah wal-lahu of what bimā you do taʿmalūna (is) All-Aware khabīrun
And why do you not spend in the cause of Allāh while to Allāh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allāh has promised the best [reward]. And Allāh, of what you do, is Aware.
مَّن Who (is) man the one who dhā the one who alladhī will loan yuq'riḍu (to) Allah l-laha a loan qarḍan goodly ḥasanan so He will multiply it fayuḍāʿifahu for him lahu and for him walahu (is) a reward ajrun noble karīmun
Who is it that would loan Allāh a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?
