كَذَّبَتْ Denied kadhabat before them qablahum (the) people qawmu (of) Nuh nūḥin and (the) companions wa-aṣḥābu (of) Ar-Raas l-rasi and Thamud wathamūdu
The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamūd
وَعَادٌۭ And Aad waʿādun and Firaun wafir'ʿawnu and (the) brothers wa-ikh'wānu (of) Lut lūṭin
And ʿAad and Pharaoh and the brothers [i.e., people] of Lot
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ And (the) companions wa-aṣḥābu (of) the wood l-aykati and (the) people waqawmu (of) Tubba tubbaʿin All kullun denied kadhaba the Messengers l-rusula so was fulfilled faḥaqqa My Threat waʿīdi
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubbaʿ. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.
أَفَعَيِينَا Were We then tired afaʿayīnā with the creation bil-khalqi the first l-awali Nay bal they hum (are) in fī doubt labsin about min a creation khalqin new jadīdin
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.
