ق
قٓ ۚ Qaf qaf By the Quran wal-qur'āni the Glorious l-majīdi
Qāf. By the honored Qur’ān...
بَلْ Nay bal they wonder ʿajibū that an has come to them jāahum a warner mundhirun from them min'hum So say faqāla the disbelievers l-kāfirūna This hādhā (is) a thing shayon amazing ʿajībun
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.
أَءِذَا What! When a-idhā we die mit'nā and have become wakunnā dust turāban That dhālika (is) a return rajʿun far baʿīdun
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant [i.e., unlikely] return."
قَدْ Certainly qad We know ʿalim'nā what mā diminishes tanquṣu the earth l-arḍu of them min'hum and with Us waʿindanā (is) a Book kitābun guarded ḥafīẓun
We know what the earth diminishes [i.e., consumes] of them, and with Us is a retaining record.
بَلْ Nay bal they denied kadhabū the truth bil-ḥaqi when lammā it came (to) them jāahum so they fahum (are) in fī a state amrin confused marījin
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.
