۞ وَمَا And not wamā is kāna for any human libasharin that an Allah should speak to him yukallimahu Allah should speak to him l-lahu except illā (by) revelation waḥyan or aw from min behind warāi a veil ḥijābin or aw (by) sending yur'sila a messenger rasūlan then he reveals fayūḥiya by His permission bi-idh'nihi what mā He wills yashāu Indeed, He innahu (is) Most High ʿaliyyun Most Wise ḥakīmun
And it is not for any human being that Allāh should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger [i.e., angel] to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus wakadhālika We have revealed awḥaynā to you ilayka an inspiration rūḥan by min Our Command amrinā Not mā (did) you kunta know tadrī what mā the Book (is) l-kitābu and not walā the faith l-īmānu But walākin We have made it jaʿalnāhu a light nūran We guide nahdī with it bihi whom man We will nashāu of min Our slaves ʿibādinā And indeed, you wa-innaka surely guide latahdī to ilā (the) Path ṣirāṭin Straight mus'taqīmin
And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command [i.e., the Qur’ān]. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muḥammad], you guide to a straight path -
صِرَٰطِ (The) path ṣirāṭi (of) Allah l-lahi the One alladhī to Whom lahu (belongs) whatever mā (is) in fī the heavens l-samāwāti and whatever wamā (is) in fī the earth l-arḍi Unquestionably alā To ilā Allah l-lahi reach taṣīru all affairs l-umūru
The path of Allāh, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allāh do [all] matters evolve [i.e., return].
