خَلَقَ He created khalaqa the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍa in [the] truth bil-ḥaqi He wraps yukawwiru the night al-layla over ʿalā the day l-nahāri and wraps wayukawwiru the day l-nahāra over ʿalā the night al-layli And He subjected wasakhara the sun l-shamsa and the moon wal-qamara each kullun running yajrī for a term li-ajalin specified musamman Unquestionably alā He huwa (is) the All-Mighty l-ʿazīzu the Oft-Forgiving l-ghafāru
He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.1
