وَلَئِن And if wala-in you ask them sa-altahum who man created khalaqa the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍa Surely, they will say layaqūlunna Allah l-lahu Say qul Then do you see afara-aytum what mā you invoke tadʿūna besides min besides dūni Allah l-lahi if in Allah intended for me arādaniya Allah intended for me l-lahu harm biḍurrin are hal they hunna removers kāshifātu (of) harm (from) Him ḍurrihi or aw if He intended for me arādanī mercy biraḥmatin are hal they hunna withholders mum'sikātu (of) His mercy raḥmatihi Say qul Sufficient (is) Allah for me ḥasbiya Sufficient (is) Allah for me l-lahu upon Him ʿalayhi put trust yatawakkalu those who trust l-mutawakilūna
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allāh." Say, "Then have you considered1 what you invoke besides Allāh? If Allāh intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allāh; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."
