وَلَمَّآ And when walammā [that] an came jāat Our messengers rusulunā (to) Lut lūṭan he was distressed sīa for them bihim and felt straitened waḍāqa for them bihim (and) uneasy dharʿan And they said waqālū (Do) not lā fear takhaf and (do) not walā grieve taḥzan Indeed, we innā (will) save you munajjūka and your family wa-ahlaka except illā your wife im'ra-ataka She kānat (is) of mina those who remain behind l-ghābirīna
And when Our messengers [i.e., angels] came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort.1 They said, "Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind.
