فَمَا And not famā was kāna (the) answer jawāba (of) his people qawmihi except illā that an they said qālū Kill him uq'tulūhu or aw burn him ḥarriqūhu But Allah saved him fa-anjāhu But Allah saved him l-lahu from mina the fire l-nāri Indeed inna in fī that dhālika surely (are) Signs laāyātin for a people liqawmin who believe yu'minūna
And the answer of his [i.e., Abraham's] people was not but that they said, "Kill him or burn him," but Allāh saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
وَقَالَ And he said waqāla Only innamā you have taken ittakhadhtum besides min besides dūni Allah l-lahi idols awthānan (out of) love mawaddata among you baynikum in fī the life l-ḥayati (of) the world l-dun'yā Then thumma (on the) Day yawma (of) the Resurrection l-qiyāmati you will deny yakfuru one another baʿḍukum one another bibaʿḍin and curse wayalʿanu one another baʿḍukum one another baʿḍan and your abode wamawākumu (will be) the Fire l-nāru and not wamā for you lakum any min helpers nāṣirīna
And [Abraham] said, "You have only taken, other than Allāh, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers."
