۞ فَلَمَّا Then when falammā Musa fulfilled qaḍā Musa fulfilled mūsā the term l-ajala and was traveling wasāra with his family bi-ahlihi he saw ānasa in min (the) direction jānibi (of) Mount Tur l-ṭūri a fire nāran He said qāla to his family li-ahlihi Stay here um'kuthū indeed, I innī [I] perceive ānastu a fire nāran Perhaps laʿallī I will bring you ātīkum from there min'hā some information bikhabarin or aw a burning wood jadhwatin from mina the fire l-nāri so that you may laʿallakum warm yourselves taṣṭalūna
And when Moses had completed the term and was traveling with his family, he perceived from the direction of the mount a fire. He said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire. Perhaps I will bring you from there [some] information or burning wood from the fire that you may warm yourselves."
فَلَمَّآ But when falammā he came (to) it atāhā he was called nūdiya from min (the) side shāṭi-i (of) the valley l-wādi the right l-aymani in fī the place even l-buq'ʿati blessed l-mubārakati from mina the tree l-shajarati that an O Musa yāmūsā Indeed innī I Am anā Allah l-lahu (the) Lord rabbu (of) the worlds l-ʿālamīna
But when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in a blessed spot - from the tree, "O Moses, indeed I am Allāh, Lord of the worlds."
وَأَنْ And [that] wa-an throw alqi your staff ʿaṣāka But when falammā he saw it raāhā moving tahtazzu as if it ka-annahā (were) a snake jānnun he turned wallā (in) flight mud'biran and (did) not walam return yuʿaqqib O Musa yāmūsā Draw near aqbil and (do) not walā fear takhaf Indeed, you innaka (are) of mina the secure l-āminīna
And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allāh said], "O Moses, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are of the secure.
ٱسْلُكْ Insert us'luk your hand yadaka in fī your bosom jaybika it will come forth takhruj white bayḍāa without min without ghayri any harm sūin And draw wa-uḍ'mum to yourselves ilayka your hand janāḥaka against mina fear l-rahbi So these fadhānika (are) two evidences bur'hānāni from min your Lord rabbika to ilā Firaun fir'ʿawna and his chiefs wamala-ihi Indeed, they innahum are kānū a people qawman defiantly disobedient fāsiqīna
Insert your hand into the opening of your garment; it will come out white, without disease. And draw in your arm close to you [as prevention] from fear, for those are two proofs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his establishment. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient."
