قَالَ He said qāla Disguise nakkirū for her lahā her throne ʿarshahā we will see nanẓur whether she will be guided atahtadī or am will be takūnu of mina those who alladhīna are not guided lā are not guided yahtadūna
He said, "Disguise for her her throne; we will see whether she will be guided [to truth] or will be of those who is not guided."
فَلَمَّا So when falammā she came jāat it was said qīla Is like this ahākadhā your throne ʿarshuki She said qālat It is like ka-annahu it huwa And we were given waūtīnā the knowledge l-ʿil'ma before her min before her qablihā and we have been wakunnā Muslims mus'limīna
So when she arrived, it was said [to her], "Is your throne like this?" She said, "[It is] as though it was it." [Solomon said], "And we were given knowledge before her, and we have been Muslims [in submission to Allāh].
وَصَدَّهَا And has averted her waṣaddahā what mā she used (to) kānat worship taʿbudu besides min besides dūni Allah l-lahi Indeed, she innahā was kānat from min a people qawmin who disbelieve kāfirīna
And that which she was worshipping other than Allāh had averted her [from submission to Him]. Indeed, she was from a disbelieving people."
قِيلَ It was said qīla to her lahā Enter ud'khulī the palace l-ṣarḥa Then when falammā she saw it ra-athu she thought it ḥasibathu (was) a pool lujjatan and she uncovered wakashafat [on] ʿan her shins sāqayhā He said qāla Indeed, it innahu (is) a palace ṣarḥun made smooth mumarradun of min glass qawārīra She said qālat My Lord rabbi indeed, I innī [I] have wronged ẓalamtu myself nafsī and I submit wa-aslamtu with maʿa Sulaiman sulaymāna to Allah lillahi (the) Lord rabbi (of) the worlds l-ʿālamīna
She was told, "Enter the palace." But when she saw it, she thought it was a body of water and uncovered her shins [to wade through]. He said, "Indeed, it is a palace [whose floor is] made smooth with glass." She said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allāh, Lord of the worlds."
