إِنَّمَا Only innamā the believers l-mu'minūna (are) those who alladhīna believe āmanū in Allah bil-lahi and His Messenger warasūlihi and when wa-idhā they are kānū with him maʿahu for ʿalā a matter amrin (of) collective action jāmiʿin not lam they go yadhhabū until ḥattā they (have) asked his permission yastadhinūhu Indeed inna those who alladhīna ask your permission yastadhinūnaka those ulāika [those who] alladhīna believe yu'minūna in Allah bil-lahi and His Messenger warasūlihi So when fa-idhā they ask your permission is'tadhanūka for some libaʿḍi affair of theirs shanihim then give permission fadhan to whom liman you will shi'ta among them min'hum and ask forgiveness wa-is'taghfir for them lahumu (of) Allah l-laha Indeed inna Allah l-laha (is) Oft-Forgiving ghafūrun Most Merciful raḥīmun
The believers are only those who believe in Allāh and His Messenger and, when they are [meeting] with him for a matter of common interest, do not depart until they have asked his permission. Indeed, those who ask your permission, [O Muḥammad] - those are the ones who believe in Allāh and His Messenger. So when they ask your permission due to something of their affairs, then give permission to whom you will among them and ask forgiveness for them of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
