وَقَالُوا۟ And they say waqālū Has taken ittakhadha the Most Gracious l-raḥmānu a son waladan
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son."
لَّقَدْ Verily laqad you have put forth ji'tum a thing shayan atrocious iddan
You have done an atrocious thing.
تَكَادُ Almost takādu the heavens l-samāwātu get torn yatafaṭṭarna therefrom min'hu and splits asunder watanshaqqu the earth l-arḍu and collapse watakhirru the mountain l-jibālu (in) devastation haddan
The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation
أَن That an they invoke daʿaw to the Most Gracious lilrraḥmāni a son waladan
That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.
وَمَا And not wamā is appropriate yanbaghī for the Most Gracious lilrraḥmāni that an He should take yattakhidha a son waladan
And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.
إِن Not in all kullu who man (are) in fī the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍi but illā (will) come ātī (to) the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni (as) a slave ʿabdan
There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant.
لَّقَدْ Verily laqad He has enumerated them aḥṣāhum and counted them waʿaddahum a counting ʿaddan
He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting.
وَكُلُّهُمْ And all of them wakulluhum (will) come (to) Him ātīhi (on the) Day yawma (of) the Resurrection l-qiyāmati alone fardan
And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone.
