قَالَ Said qāla to him lahu Musa mūsā May hal I follow you attabiʿuka on ʿalā that an you teach me tuʿallimani of what mimmā you have been taught ʿullim'ta (of) right guidance rush'dan
Moses said to him, "May I follow you on [the condition] that you teach me from what you have been taught of sound judgement?"
قَالَ He said qāla Indeed, you innaka never lan will be able tastaṭīʿa with me maʿiya (to have) patience ṣabran
He said, "Indeed, with me you will never be able to have patience.
وَكَيْفَ And how can wakayfa you have patience taṣbiru for ʿalā what mā not lam you encompass tuḥiṭ of it bihi any knowledge khub'ran
And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?"
قَالَ He said qāla You will find me satajidunī if in Allah wills shāa Allah wills l-lahu patient ṣābiran and not walā I will disobey aʿṣī your laka order amran
[Moses] said, "You will find me, if Allāh wills, patient, and I will not disobey you in [any] order."
قَالَ He said qāla Then if fa-ini you follow me ittabaʿtanī (do) not falā ask me tasalnī about ʿan anything shayin until ḥattā I present uḥ'ditha to you laka of it min'hu a mention dhik'ran
He said, "Then if you follow me, do not ask me about anything until I make to you about it mention [i.e., explanation]."
