وَأُحِيطَ And were surrounded wa-uḥīṭa his fruits bithamarihi so he began fa-aṣbaḥa twisting yuqallibu his hands kaffayhi over ʿalā what mā he (had) spent anfaqa on it fīhā while it (had) wahiya collapsed khāwiyatun on ʿalā its trellises ʿurūshihā and he said wayaqūlu Oh! I wish yālaytanī I had not associated lam I had not associated ush'rik with my Lord birabbī anyone aḥadan
And his fruits were encompassed [by ruin], so he began to turn his hands about [in dismay] over what he had spent on it, while it had collapsed upon its trellises, and said, "Oh, I wish I had not associated with my Lord anyone."
وَلَمْ And not walam was takun for him lahu a group fi-atun (to) help him yanṣurūnahu other than min other than dūni Allah l-lahi and not wamā was kāna (he) supported muntaṣiran
And there was for him no company to aid him other than Allāh, nor could he defend himself.
هُنَالِكَ There hunālika the protection l-walāyatu (is) from Allah lillahi the True l-ḥaqi He huwa (is the) best khayrun (to) reward thawāban and (the) best wakhayrun (for) the final end ʿuq'ban
There the authority is [completely] for Allāh, the Truth. He is best in reward and best in outcome.
