وَٱتْلُ And recite wa-ut'lu what mā has been revealed ūḥiya to you ilayka of min the Book kitābi (of) your Lord rabbika None lā can change mubaddila His Words likalimātihi and never walan you will find tajida besides Him min besides Him dūnihi a refuge mul'taḥadan
And recite, [O Muḥammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. There is no changer of His words, and never will you find in other than Him a refuge.
وَٱصْبِرْ And be patient wa-iṣ'bir yourself nafsaka with maʿa those who alladhīna call yadʿūna their Lord rabbahum in the morning bil-ghadati and the evening wal-ʿashiyi desiring yurīdūna His Face wajhahu And (let) not walā pass beyond taʿdu your eyes ʿaynāka over them ʿanhum desiring turīdu adornment zīnata (of) the life l-ḥayati (of) the world l-dun'yā and (do) not walā obey tuṭiʿ whom man We have made heedless aghfalnā his heart qalbahu of ʿan Our remembrance dhik'rinā and follows wa-ittabaʿa his desires hawāhu and is wakāna his affair amruhu (in) excess furuṭan
And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His face [i.e., acceptance]. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.
