The Cave

الكهف
ٱلْحَمْدُ All Praise al-ḥamdu (is) for Allah lillahi the One Who alladhī (has) revealed anzala to ʿalā His slave ʿabdihi the Book l-kitāba and not walam (has) made yajʿal in it lahu any crookedness ʿiwajā
[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, who has sent down upon His Servant [Muḥammad (ﷺ)] the Book and has not made therein any deviance.
قَيِّمًۭا Straight qayyiman to warn liyundhira (of) a punishment basan severe shadīdan from min near Him ladun'hu and give glad tidings wayubashira (to) the believers l-mu'minīna those who alladhīna do yaʿmalūna righteous deeds l-ṣāliḥāti that anna for them lahum (is) a good reward ajran (is) a good reward ḥasanan
[He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward [i.e., Paradise].
مَّـٰكِثِينَ (They will) abide mākithīna in it fīhi forever abadan
In which they will remain forever
وَيُنذِرَ And to warn wayundhira those who alladhīna say qālū Allah has taken ittakhadha Allah has taken l-lahu a son waladan
And to warn those who say, "Allāh has taken a son".
مَّا Not mā they have lahum about it bihi any min knowledge ʿil'min and not walā their forefathers liābāihim Grave (is) kaburat the word kalimatan (that) comes out takhruju of min their mouths afwāhihim Not in they say yaqūlūna except illā a lie kadhiban
They have no knowledge of it, nor had their fathers. Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths; they speak not except a lie.
