وَدَخَلَ And entered wadakhala with him maʿahu (in) the prison l-sij'na two young men fatayāni Said qāla one of them aḥaduhumā Indeed, I innī [I] see myself arānī pressing aʿṣiru wine khamran And said waqāla the other l-ākharu Indeed, I innī [I] see myself arānī [I am] carrying aḥmilu over fawqa my head rasī bread khub'zan (were) eating takulu the birds l-ṭayru from it min'hu Inform us nabbi'nā of its interpretation bitawīlihi indeed, we innā [we] see you narāka of mina the good-doers l-muḥ'sinīna
And there entered the prison with him two young men. One of them said, "Indeed, I have seen myself [in a dream] pressing [grapes for] wine." The other said, "Indeed, I have seen myself carrying upon my head [some] bread, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of its interpretation; indeed, we see you to be of those who do good."
