قَالُوا۟ They said qālū O Shuaib yāshuʿaybu Does your prayer aṣalatuka command you tamuruka that an we leave natruka what mā worship yaʿbudu our forefathers ābāunā or aw that an we do nafʿala concerning fī our wealth amwālinā what mā we will nashāu Indeed you innaka surely you la-anta (are) the forbearing l-ḥalīmu the right-minded l-rashīdu
They said, "O Shuʿayb, does your prayer [i.e., religion] command you that we should leave what our fathers worship or not do with our wealth what we please? Indeed, you are the forbearing, the discerning!"1
