قَالُوا۟ They say qālū Allah has taken ittakhadha Allah has taken l-lahu a son waladan Glory be to Him sub'ḥānahu He huwa (is) the Self-sufficient l-ghaniyu To Him (belongs) lahu whatever mā (is) in fī the heavens l-samāwāti and whatever wamā (is) in fī the earth l-arḍi Not in you have ʿindakum any min authority sul'ṭānin for this bihādhā Do you say ataqūlūna about ʿalā Allah l-lahi what mā not lā you know taʿlamūna
They1 have said, "Allāh has taken a son." Exalted is He; He is the [one] Free of need. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority2 for this [claim]. Do you say about Allāh that which you do not know?
