Musnad Ahmad
It was narrated from ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray Witr with three raka’hs
حَدَّثَنِي أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ.
Grade: Hasan because of corroborating evidence; this is Da'if isnad] (Darussalam)
