اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ

Allahu Akbar

Allah is the Greatest

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ١

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٢

Alhamdu lillaahi Rabbil’aalameen

[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, Lord of the worlds -

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٣

Ar-Rahmaanir-Raheem

The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ٤

Maaliki Yawmid-Deen

Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ٥

Iyyaaka na’budu wa lyyaaka nasta’een

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ ٦

Ighdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqeen

Guide us to the straight path -

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٧

Siraatal-lazeena an’amta ‘alaihim ghayril-maghdoobi ‘alaihim wa lad-daaalleen

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

آمِينَ

Aameen

Accept our supplication.

سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى ١

Sabbihisma rabbikal a'la

Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ٢

Alladhī khalaqa fasawwā

Who created and perfected,

وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ٣

Wa alladhī qaddara fahadā

Who destined and guided,

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ ٤

Wa alladhī akhrajal mar'ā

Who brings out the pasture,

فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ ٥

Faja'alahu ghuthā'an ahwā

And then makes it black stubble.

سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ ٦

Sanurī'uka falā tansā

We will make you recite, and you will not forget,

إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ ٧

Illa mā shā'a Allahu, innahu ya'lamu al-jahra wa mā yakhfā

Except what Allah wills. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٨

Wa nuyassiruka lilyusrā

And We will ease you toward ease.

فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ ٩

Fadhakkir inna fa'atidh dhikrā

So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ ١٠

Sayadhakkaru man yakhshā

He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى ١١

Wa yatajannabuhal ashqā

But the wretched one will avoid it,

ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ١٢

Alladhī yaslan nāral kubrā

[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ ١٣

Thumma lā yamūtu fīhā walā yahyā

Neither dying therein nor living.

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ١٤

Qad aflaha man tazakkā

He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself,

وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ١٥

Wa dhakara isma rabbihi faṣallā

And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ١٦

Bal tu'thirūnal ḥayātad dunyā

But you prefer the worldly life,

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ ١٧

Wal ākhiratu khayrun wa abqā

While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ١٨

Inna hādhā lafis ṣuḥufil ūlā

Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ١٩

Ṣuḥufi ibrāhīma wa mūsā

The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ

Allahu akbar!

Allah is the Greatest!

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

Subhaana rabbiyal-aadheem

Glory be to my Lord, the Almighty

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

Subhaana rabbiyal-aadheem

Glory be to my Lord, the Almighty

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

Subhaana rabbiyal-aadheem

Glory be to my Lord, the Almighty

سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَه

SemiaAllaahu liman hamidah

Allah hears those who praise Him.

رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْد

Rabbanaa wa lakal-hamd

Our Lord, to You alone belongs all the praise

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى

Subhanna rabbiyal Aalaa

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى

Subhanna rabbiyal Aalaa

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى

Subhanna rabbiyal Aalaa

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High

رب اغفر لي

Rabbighfirlee

Oh Allah, Forgive Me

رب اغفر لي

Oh Allah, Forgive Me

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى

Subhanna rabbiyal Aalaa

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى

Subhanna rabbiyal Aalaa

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High

اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ

Ighdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqeen

آمِينَ

Aameen

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَـٰشِيَةِ ١

Hal atāka ḥadīthul ghāshiyah

Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?

وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَـٰشِعَةٌ ٢

Wujūhun yawma'idhin khāshi'ah

[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,

عَامِلَةٌۭ نَّاصِبَةٌۭ ٣

'Āmilatun nāṣibah

Working [hard] and exhausted.

تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةًۭ ٤

Taṣlā nāran ḥāmiyah

They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.

تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍۢ ٥

Tusqā min 'aynin āniyah

They will be given drink from a boiling spring.

لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍۢ ٦

Laysa lahum ṭa'āmun illā min ḍarī'

For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ ٧

Lā yusminu walā yughni min jū'

Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.

وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ ٨

Wujūhun yawma'idhin nā'imah

[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.

لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۭ ٩

Lisa'yihā rāḍiyah

With their effort [they are] satisfied

فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ ١٠

Fī jannatin 'āliyah

In an elevated garden,

لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَـٰغِيَةًۭ ١١

Lā tasma'u fīhā lāghiyah

Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.

فِيهَا عَيْنٌۭ جَارِيَةٌۭ ١٢

Fīhā 'aynun jārīyah

Within it is a flowing spring.

فِيهَا سُرُرٌۭ مَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ ١٣

Fīhā sururum marfū'ah

Within it are couches raised high

وَأَكْوَابٌۭ مَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ ١٤

Wa akwābun mawḍū'ah

And cups put in place

وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌۭ ١٥

Wa namāriqu maṣfūfah

And cushions lined up

وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ ١٦

Waz arabīyu mabthūthah

And carpets spread around.

أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ١٧

Afalā yanẓurūna ilal ibili kaifa khuliqat

Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?

وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ١٨

Wa ilas samā'i kaifa rufi'at

And at the sky - how it is raised?

وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ١٩

Wa ilal jibāli kaifa nuṣibat

And at the mountains - how they are erected?

وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ ٢٠

Wa ilal arḍi kaifa suṭiḥat

And at the earth - how it is spread out?

فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ ٢١

Fa dhakkir innamā anta mudhakkir

So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.

لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ ٢٢

Lasta 'alaihim bimuṣaiṭir

You are not over them a controller.

إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ ٢٣

Illā man tawallā wa kafar

However, he who turns away and disbelieves

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ ٢٤

Fa yu'adhdhibuhu Allahul 'adhābal akbar

Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ ٢٥

Inna ilainā iyābahum

Indeed, to Us is their return.

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم ٢٦

Thumma inna 'alainā ḥisābahum

Then indeed, upon Us is their account.

اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ

Allahu akbar!

Allah is the Greatest!

Glory be to my Lord, the Almighty

التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ

Al-tahiyyaatu lillahi was-salawaatu wat-tayyibaat

All greetings, prayers and beautiful expressions are for Allah

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

As-salaamu aalaika ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh

Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ

As-salaamu alainaa wa alaa ibadillaahis-saliheen.

Peace be upon us and upon all righteous servants of Allah.

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ

Ash-hadu al-laa ilaaha il-IAllaah

I bear witness that there is no god except Allah

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan aabduhoo wa rasooluh

And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger

ٱللَّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allaahumma salli aalaa Muhammad, wa aalaa aalee Muhammad

Oh Allah, honor Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

kamaa sallayta aalaa Ibraheem wa aalaa aalee Ibraheem

as you honored Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim

إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

innaka Hameedum-Majeed

Verily, You are the Praiseworthy, the Glorious

ٱللَّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allaahumma baarik aalaa Muhammad, wa aalaa aalee Muhammad

Oh Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

kamaa baarakta aalaa Ibraheem wa aalaa aalee Ibraheem

as you blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim

إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

innaka Hameedum-Majeed

Verily, You are the Praiseworthy, the Glorious

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ

As-salaamu aalaykum wa rahmatullah

Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ

As-salaamu aalaykum wa rahmatullah

Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy
